Quick question about affiliate links in articles

Hi guys, sorry if this gets asked a lot, I was wondering if it is usually allowed to direct link to an affiliate offer in the resource box in an article, or is a landing page required for this? Same with other 2.0 properties like youtube for example.

I know google and adwords don't like it I was wondering what else doesn't.

Cheers

EzineArticles doesn't allow this either. It's actually not a good idea because you want to get traffic and links back to your own site. If a person clicks a link in the resource box, that usually means they are interested in more information and if you can provide that additional information, they will be more likely to buy what you are selling. And you have a chance to get them on your mailing list and stay in touch with them for future products.
