Hey not totally new to site building or affiliate marketing but new to the forum here and have been trying some different things with IM.

First off I was hit with Amazon pulling out of Colorado due to the Tax thing they are dealing with in CA.

Second a site I built in April with fresh content (written by me) with CB links was sunk in the big G over the 4th of July week end.

Third applied for Barns and Noble affiliate network through the big G and was approved a couple of weeks ago and put some books on the a for mentioned site. And "bam".. (Ref. To the great Chef Emeril )

Got an email today
"Thank you for your continued support of the Barnes & Noble Affiliate Net work".....

BUT WE ARE SHUTTING IT DOWN ON YOU...

Not really but after Aug 9th they are not working with Google any more from what the email is telling me..

Now I'm not whining .. but its a little difficult to push through with set back like these.

I'm still pressing all of my sites and trying to make it through and I know it takes time. Have been doing IM and blogs for a few years and have had minor successes..

Any suggestions on other Book sites .. CB is difficult to sell unless you have a list which is what I am working on next.

Wow, you have had a crappy time of it. Try to keep your chin up because things generally do get better. You just had bad timing really.

Here are a couple of book affiliate programs you might be able to use:

    Borders
BGIView - Borders - Books, Music and Movies

    The Book People
    The Book People - Affiliates

I would think Commission Junction would have some type of book affiliate program too, right?

Looked through CJ a while ago and they just did not have the right products for the niche. I'm shooting for now. there are very few in CB for it but there are tons of real books out there.

Yeah man thats the way IM is. You have to keep adjusting. If you have the money I highly suggest becoming a War Room member because there is a ton of support and free stuff in there to get you going. Just a month ago I got some free PLR videos in there and fixed them up a tiny bit and posted them on Youtube. I got a couple sales and I know if I keep going with stuff like that I will make more money. Everytime I go in the War Room I get a new thing and it usually always makes money. Though my main problem has been I focus on to many things. It is good to focus on one thing at a time but if it doesnt work just get right back up and go onto the next thing. Eventually you will find a couple good methods that keep working. Look for things that have been working for years and try those. (Like PLR, Video marketing, ect)

It sounds like you have the motivation for success so keep working at it.

I know you can make it.

    Best of Luck!

War Room has to wait till some cash comes rollin in from somewhere .. The economy has really killed me (commission only job) tis why I am really trying to hammer IM...

paydotcom is an altenative to CB . Just keep on moving, btw don`t forget that affiliate marketing is one of the fastest paced markets online. Adapting to new trends and changes is crucial to survive in this field.

        To the OP.

Didn't everything you read at the start say 'build a list?'

        Did you?

        Why not?

When people like me started and read 'build a list'
guess what we did? We did what we were told.

        PLEASE.......PRETTY PLEASE....JUST...well you know!

        Good luck

    hey cesgeek

    dont worry about it

we all fail at some point

failure is actually a good thing because your 1 step closer to finding out what really works and what doesnt

when ever you fail just make sure you fail forward and learn by it

even if you seem unlucky as well dont worry, keep plodding on and you will get there

most of the if not all of the successful marketers from the WF have all failed more than once im sure so its all part of the fun

if you never give up its impossible for you to fail
