Marketing a clickbank product with a blog

Hi all,

First of all thank you for reading my thread, it is the first thread I have authored here at warrior forum and I hope it helps others out as well as me.

I am planning my first real venture into IM and for the last two weeks have done constant research. I have selected my niche, done keyword research, bought domain and set up hosting etc. I have a firm plan in my head on how I am going to draw traffic to my site which will be a wordpress blog.

The problem that Im having is that I dont know the best way to sell my clickbank product through the blog. Basically I will have 10 -15 articles on the blog that are giving the visitor the information they are looking for but holding back on information icluded in the full version (product im promoting).

With the clickbank product what type of link should I use to the product Im promoting, just a hyperlink or an image link? should I link to the product in every post in my blog or not? Any input you can give me is much appreciated.

Basically Im just looking for the highest amount of visitors to buy the product, like we all are. I know this will take experimentation to get it working just the way I want but doing research before I start will only help my chances of success.

Thanks alot for any tips or knowledge you can spare me.

Have you considered making it a "review" blog?

Basically, you choose 2-3 Clickbank products, and do reviews/comparisons with them.

Your top choice will be the one that you'd like them to buy, but you'd still be happy if they bought the other two (because you'll collect a commission if any of them sell).

I would then link all the other post/pages on the blog back to the review.

As far as hoplinks, I wouldn't go overboard. 2-3 should be more than enough. Although you may want to get them cloaked.

    Hi Tummy

The reason why "endorsed" traffic from JV partners converts so well is because the prospect is pre-sold on the product before they hit the sales page, either on the back of a strong recommendation from the affiliate or simply the prospect's relationship with them.

When selling any product as an affiliate you're going to do better if you "pre-sell" the product e.g. have the prospect thinking this might be a good thing before they even hit the sales page.

Since your traffic is likely to be passive, and you'll have no pre-existing relationship with most of your visitors, the best pre-selling is to describe the benefits that YOU'RE experiencing when using the product.

Forget the features. Communicate how the product has made your life better and solved your pain. The more your prospects can see, and RELATE to, the end result of their purchase the more likely they are to buy in order to replicate your results

    I hope this helps
