You can, and that might actually be a clever idea. I wouldn't go making an in depth book though, more like a 7-10 page report. I could see those selling like hot cakes if the right people saw the gigs.

Thanks for the replies so quick. I am a 16 y/o with little to no start up money and am looking for some things to do to get some cash. I figured if i wrote up some small ebooks i could try to sell them and put the money made to higher paying projects.

Sounds like you are on the right track Sean...very quick and easy to deliver...I wish you the best of success...I wish the internet had been around when I was 16. I remember exactly at 16 I was trying to call somebody with my 300 baud modem and not understanding the concept that both people had to have modems.

You also have to understand that the competition on Fiverr is intense, so your report/e-book MUST be unique and have a high perceived value.

Does anyone know the best way to do this? Because if someone clicks buy how do they get the ebook? do they have to contact me through email?

This is not a good idea.

Yes, in theory you can. But you have to manually log in every day and "deliver" the ebook. Yes, you can tell fiverr that the buyer should download but fiverr only marks it as delivered after you clicked a certain button.

That means: if you sell more than a few it gets really annoying. I tried it and quickly stopped doing it when it was obvious that it was a hassle; not worth the $4 a pop (they take $1 commission).

I Tried to list e-book in fiverr but It was showing some error. I tried many times but the same thing happened so I thought it does not allow to sell e-books. Thanks for this thread, it seems that we can sell e-books there. I will try again

    Regards,
    Cantaxian.

One way to deliver an ebook is to send them to landing page after the purchase. Once they optin and confirm, you send them the ebook through autoresponder. That way you're not only earning money, but building a list of buyers as well.

This can be a good way to start. The trick is to use fiverr as a traffic generator by placing a link to your website (with more expensive products) somewhere in the report you send them.

I tried looking on Fiverr's terms and conditions for this question myself so I'm glad that it has been discussed on here and that the answer is yes! I have a few ideas up my sleeve so know I can push ahead with this one. Thanks to all for answers!

I also thought about selling an ebook on fiverr, but if it is through paypal which everything is doesn't auto deliver your ebooks.

I have the download link in the buyer instructions... then I just have to check once a day and click the delivery button to finish the transaction. I don't sell a lot... I have 20 gigs up and I get 2-3 sales a day... but once you start getting feedback your sales improve a lot.

    Yes of course!

To promote it you can use the URLs associated with your gig on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, or any other social networks you associate with. You can add the links to your email and forum signatures, and post about your Fiverr gig on your blog.

If you really want to promote your work on Fiverr, you can explore more traditional marketing methods like posting the link on business cards, making up flyers to leave on cars, or use word of mouth to tell everyone you know about your gig.

    Good Luck

If you are writing your own ebook you could also look at selling it for the Kindle.

      Hey Sean,

If you write your own ebook, personally i wouldn't sell it on Fiverr, but through a minisite or platforms like Payloadz, Clickbank, or Tradebit that are made especially for the selling of digital products.

      Best,
      Devid

    These are all good ideas.
Personally, I've been selling an ebook/report on Fiverr for several months and it gets a few orders every now and then. Not much, really. But I think the potential is there if you want to put the time into it.

I think the key is to consider Fiverr as a lead generator. There's a lot of traffic browsing around that site, and if you can tailor an ad (and product) around some popular keywords, with an offer that is unique and offers high value, then you can get some buyers. Then upsell them on other products and services.

One way to demonstrate value is to offer your ebook on another platform for a much higher price. Then you can tell Fiverr buyers that they're getting a $27 ebook for only $5.

I haven't tried doing this myself, but from what I've read around the forums, people's experience with it have been similar to the above. It is doable, but it is not the kind of thing, that will have you making tons of money daily just from one gig.

So to make it work, you should probably have several gigs for the same offer, so they get more views combined than if you just ran one gig. This way, you can also have different names and descriptions to your gigs, and see which ones work better.

Its a very good idea.. I myself had bought couple of ebooks via fiverr and its well worth for $5. The only problem is that I don't think fiverr has an option for immediate download soon after payment, you just got a wait bit for the seller to deliver the ebook. Few sellers use the "buyers instructions" option to provide the download link, but the problem is that the order will not become active for the seller until the buyer respond to "buyers instructions".

I could see some potential in this - you could outsource it once you have a steady stream of orders coming in... then set up a funnel and email series!

You'd probably be more successful if you put together like a video course and sold it (or access to it online) for $5.

That would make you stand out a lot more than just a 7 page report.

Mine is 40 pages in 10.5 pt! Sold 2 in 24 hours since gig posting! (In My Sig!)
And I don't care about the $5, when you see the ebook - YOU'LL UNDERSTAND WHY!!!
This is the definitive way to make BIG money at Fiverr!

In addition to selling your ebook, you should research a product that is related to your topic that you can upsell your customers with.

I wrote a report on Diabetic myths and put it up for sale. It didn't sell one copy. Then again it was probably not the right market.
I think services do well. I do a back linking service on there and get regular orders. The point is that it is automated, so I can set and forget.

      Hey Andy,
I know how it feels, I had a few that are still waiting for bites (not only ebooks) but the one variable that makes the difference is SEO. Not doing it on your gig (which is not a bad idea), but SEO as the category at Fiverr. It seems that the really hot category is SEO, Advertising categories. My ebook did 2 sales in the past 24 hours and it was just posted 24 hours ago.

I think more and more IMers are coming aware of Fiverr for cheap services, rather than other niches.

If you have a service that generally costs IMers more to get done, it will do well. Tips and secrets on social media seem to do well also.

Use the eBook as a starting point. Make sure what they're really buying is an opt-in to your list. You want the eBook to be high quality, obviously. So don't just throw something together in 5 minutes. Spend some time ensuring that it's actually worth the five bucks. You'll build a VERY targeted list while earning some extra money in the process.

    Win-win.

Just get a PLR book to start with.

Alter a little of the contents, and write a good description.

Put it up on fiver, and learn the process as you go.

That is the only way you will really learn what to do, and what works.

You have nothing to lose by trying.
