Main Discussion V WSO

Hi all warriors

Im wondering if anyone else has noticed that the WSO section of this forum has out run the Main Discussion Forum section. ATM the WSO section has over 4000 people in it and the main discussion forum has only 800 people in it.

Ive watched this change over the last year or so. Ive watched the WSO area go from 2000 to 3000 and now to 4000 people gathering to buy and sell IM related products at any one time. Which is awesome.

But, this is a forum.

Thoughts, questions? Anyone?

Personally i feel its a little odd that a "Forum" has more people in its sale area then its discussion area. The idea of a forum is to discuss subject, news and topics.

Not that there is anything wrong with people wanting to buy and sell from one another in this forum and obviously no fault of the forums owners themselves. Not even saying it is a fault. I just find it starnge that is all.

I admit... I do miss the old days of banter and discussion in the old forum.

But like they say, C'est la vie.

Two reasons off the top of my head...

    1) Many people now have affiliate programs tied to their WSO's either through WarriorPlus or DigiResults so people mail their lists and send traffic to the WSO section.

    2) This niche is solutions driven, people want a solution to their problems (traffic, money, etc...) they are sick of reading, and want a product to provide a solution.

    3. The WSO section is very keyword heavy, and gets a lot of organic search traffic.

Because there is so much interesting stuff in the WSO forum. Plain and simple. I don't think there is a new idea in there, but people have added a twist or something to make it work better for them. Or they present it in a different way. It is hard to go in there without buying something.

People don't have time to read the topics and ask questions so they want the instant solution to their problem as well as their is a lot of organic traffic which directs to WSO's.

I believe it is because of affiliate programs people are hammering their list and all of that traffic ends up in the wso section

I think that has a lot to do with it. People want instant gratification and for $7 honestly they don't even care that much if the answer is somewhere else for free. And can you really blame them? I mean $7 WSO's are sooo cheap that it's hard not to deliver value just in the act of summarizing what can be found elsewhere the $7 is still justified by the time savings.

...and then they come in here asking why they are failing miserably.

I'm new to the community, but my opinion is that such thing is bad as it displays that community members are trying to make money on each other, instead of sharing their experience.

Internet Marketing making money online? NOOOO!!

Dude what do you expect? This is an IM forum. This is a freaking BIG bootcamp for higher markets. People are always testing the waters here. Don't believe me? Stick around for some years and watch it go...

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

Gasp ... you mean compiling huge amounts of useful videos and reports and information and selling it fairly dirt cheap to others that can benefit from that info?

How could they? I mean ... we should just do that for free, shouldn't we?

        Hi Suzanne,

I'm not sure if you're missing the point? It's clear that the WSO forum is swelling and this one is retracting slightly.

Personally, I am happy that the forum in general is more successful, but the quality level of discussion here has dropped and often gets interfered with by people posting in here for purely WSO reasons. I think that's a shame, but I'm used to change on the internet so I just roll with it.

If you think of all the annoying things that occur, such as people posting nonsense that has already been discredited earlier on in a thread because they haven't bothered to read earlier posts (drive-by-BS), or posting speculation as fact, or pitiful threads about 'here's how I made $7.50 in three weeks by doing something scammy on Fiverr' - all of these things are on the increase, presumeably because people are less afraid to post nonsense because there are less experienced people willing to spend all of their posting time correcting the nonsense.

A quick scan shows me people making threads with one word titles, people making threads asking how to make money which then causes experienced members to reply, 'why don't you click your own sig link', people posting their blog posts and then bumping three times asking why no one is responding. I see another one asking 'are these money making things all scams?' But someone else points out the 'make lots of money' link in their sig. It's just an endless stream of nonsense, I'm afraid to say.

It's enough to make me want to sell them WSOs

So you're saying that anywhere from 800 to over 1,000 people in the main forum at just about any given time is slow? Then count in the numbers from all the subforums and seems like a lot of conversations going on to me.

I always found it interesting that people make a lot of $ by selling WSO's that teach others how to run a successful WSO

The WSOs promise immediate huge income, but the main forum talks about realistic long term action plans - you figure out why they want the WSOs

The problem is that the amount of people that register to buy and sell now vastly outnumbers those who are here to discuss and learn. I don't fret about it though. The smartest members on here are frequenting this section, not chasing WSO after WSO.

I think you are on the ball Joe. Think of it like this:

You could either buy Richard Bransons book or you could sit down with the dude over a cup of coffee (although I hear the British prefer tea) and just chat with him, ask him questions, shae your thoughts and learn.... and not just once! But many times, in fact every day! And not just Richard Branson, all of his successful mates too.

Thats the way I see a forum. And again, i still dont think there is anything wrong with the wso area being a success. Just sayin.
