YOU SUCK AT INTERNET MARKETING!!!!

Hey guys and gals,

That got your attention huh?

You wouldn't be reading this unless you actually did think you suck at it, right? Well, at least a little bit. I know I am not immune to the following...

Do you find that you are always on the warrior forum reading posts instead of actually doing some work?

Do you seem to be always fixing up your site and always run out of time before you actually do any of the jobs that you keep meaning to do but somehow never get done?

Like BACKLINKING?

Like CREATING THAT SQUIDOO LENSE?

or WRITING THAT NEW ARTICLE?

Are you paying for some monthly service that is actually doing you more harm than good?

Like AUTOMATIC post commenting?

Like ARTICLE syndication services that don't measure up?

or A SPINNER THAT LEAVES YOU WITH UNREADABLE GARBAGE?

Are you always buying new software and the latest WSO that simply doesn't work? or just sits on your desktop and never ever gets used?

Have you joined some internet marketing gurus coaching membership only to find that he never answers your messages or helps you with YOUR particular needs?

Are SPENDING more than you EARN?...still?

Do you spend way too much time and heartache trying to get that really terrible site (yes...you know it's a flop) back up to the top of google only to see it keep dropping back down again and even when you get it up there it gets no visitors and even when a visitor goes there he goes away again, straight away without clicking on SQUAT!!!!!

Leave it alone for god sake!!

Have you become overwhelmed and overloaded by all the information that is out there and cant make head or tail of what you're supposed to be doing first or which methods or products to use?

There's just so much conflicting advice....right?

Are you following a plan? Or are you following bits of lots of plans?

Have you been SLAPPED? No... not by your girlfriend, I'm talking about Google..You finally got your site (and THIS TIME its a real winner) up to the top of SERPs and then one day it's gone..it bloody disappeared...where did it go? Why? what did you do wrong? HEY! that's not fair!

So you spend the next entire week working out what happened...and guess what? You NEVER FIND OUT!

And then do you now worry about some of your other sites ..ooh no...they might get penalized too...maybe one of my pictures is breaching copyright or maybe that duplicate post will get me in trouble? or maybe ....GOD it could be anything?

Do you spend all morning reading and replying to your emails and following links to sites that are...well interesting but hey! wasting your time dude?

And finally........Are you spending too much time behind the computer and neglecting your real life?

Okay...that's enough already I get the picture.

Has any of this stuff happened to you? I know it happens to me all the time...but I still keep going.

My advice to myself and anyone else who is a bit stuck....forget keyword research right this minute..what you need to do is STRATEGY and BUSINESS PLAN RESEARCH...Choose a model and a specific method with a goal and a PURPOSE.

Step back....Work out a good over all plan....One that will work tomorrow, the next day and into the following months and years.

Something you like doing...something you're interested in and something that has a future.

Next you need to adopt a plan of action that you can afford and you know will work because you've already done the research.

Then just do it...sticK at it and don't deviate until it's done.

And you will end up with a successful online business that you enjoy doing....and then you can start fluffing around again if you want to that is...

A plan never becomes reality unless you put it into action.

While it's true, I realized awhlie ago that "just do it" is worthless advice, because if it was that easy, people would have done it a long time ago. They already know what they should be doing.

Getting pumped up lasted about 5 minutes. You have to work on creating new habits, which is a process, not a decision.

I don't believe you are correct, and here is why. The 80-20 rule is the basis of it. And I think that the 20% group is smaller when it comes to putting a business plan to action. Most will never make the jump from learning to actually doing. Out of those, a good percentage will fail the first few times. Some will never succeed as they will quit first due to early failures.

Those that do take action and fail but keep trying, eventually they will learn from their mistakes. If they keep on doing it, they will get better at it and finally succeed.

But before all that happens, they have to take that first action and start.

Is this anyone in particular or just an observation in general ? If it's a particular person I'd want to stay away from that coaching program.

Thanks for the great article. Actually the reason I clicked on the link is because it's in all capital letters with a lot of exclamation marks. I thought I'd check out if someone was being a raving lunatic in here. :p

Exactly why I clicked too, I was like "really? You actually want to ask for abuse?"

Instead of a good old fashioned tongue lashing that I could refute though I come here to find probably the billionth "You need to take action guys, lets do it (even though they aren't taking action themselves)" post. Sad to say the least.

I'm definetly guilty of procrastination and getting distracted, I'm getting better recently though.

I think as a newbie you've got to go through a period of searching around and buying wso's and getting ripped off LOL before you reach a strategy of where you want to go with internet marketing.

Actually...My point is not so much.."just do it" IT is more about making a plan that you KNOW will work and then sticking with it....not being side-tracked by everything else or giving up before you make it work.

"Just doing it" is not going to work if you are unprepared and actually STOP doing it if it's not right...

You are right action , certainly beats doing nothing or reading this forum until u are blue in the face and can do nothing

    action is all important

LOL. I am a newbie but working hard and has patience. I just made my first minisite (actually this is an experimental minisite). Then I keep reading and asking for a good backlink strategy to put this site on top of search results for its keywords. And I want all the work to be done with no outsourcing. So if this experimental website fails, then I did not lost good amount of money but will gain knowledge. So my plan is to know the best strategies for my experimental minisite to generate money. Once its successful, then I'll be making lots of them. Sigh hope this works

OP, YOU SUCK AT CREATING THREADS!!!

    That got your attention huh?

You wouldn't be reading this unless you actually did think you suck at it, right?

.....Or maybe it's just a cheapshot and an easy ploy to get people to read your post full of recycled info.

I for one, don't appreciate insults as headlines (like yours); not because my feelings are hurt(LOL!), but because it's indicative of a marketer who uses negativity to push whatever he's selling. Don't try to teach that shameful marketing style to anyone here, they're all better off without it.

Oh, and you might also want to get rid of the affiliate link in your sig, its against the T.O.S. here

I'm not trying to sell anything ...mate.....and that that SUCK comment is not a personal attack .....it was put there to get your ATTN! that is all.

geez..some people cant take a little bit of...negativity? is that what this is?
..i wasn't trying to make you feel like a failure..I am simply saying sometimes we spend too much time or way too much time doing things that are not POSITIVE when we should be..and half the time we are not even aware of it. I made this post to reflect a bit on that so if perhaps you ARE spending too much time on STUFF that's not positive then I am helping to make you AWARE of it..that's all dude..no need to get offended..we all do it I am sure.

I'm relatively new to IM, and yes, I do need to work to a plan and certainly do feel a bit overwhelmed with info mat times.

I think there's a fair amount to learn depending on what methods you'd like to use to achieve your goal, but just as you start to get to grips with a subject, a new one comes up or you hear of a different way of doing things.

In my case, I'm only covering small parts of a lot of stuff. What I'd like to do is list the core subjects that I need, learn the fundamentals, then move on to possible variations.

It's real tough though, when you have a day job and family commitments. There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day! Effective time management really has to be a key factor here.
