Just Because You Made Some Money Doesn't Make You A Guru!

I sold online since about 1991 and did OK I guess, but then in 2002 I joined the Warrior Forum and learned quite a bit and made more money. Well, after about a month, I decided I would write a thread to tell everyone what I knew about internet marketing. I was going to help them and at the same time let it be known I was an authority in my field.

What I really did was let everyone know what a dumbass I was and that I didn't even understand the concept of internet marketing, let alone why I was making a few bucks. I was just lucky.

I knew I was writing articles and doing some pay-per-click stuff and exchanging links but I still didn't understand the concept of what was making me money until I read a post by Allen Says. It said there is no big secret to internet marketing and to do something daily to promote your business and it will all add up.

Well, there was the whole ball in the nutshell. Do something daily to promote your business. I was doing that and didn't even realize it. Writing articles, pay-per-clicks, exchanging links, joint ventures, search engine optimizations, and etc they were all adding up. That was the secret if there is one...............doing something every day.

Oh yeah, a friend of mine, maybe you heard of him, Paul Myers, let me know what I wrote wasn't quite right between the time I wrote it and the time I read the post Allen made. Paul set me on course though in a kind way.

I guess my point is, even if you are making money, it's good to know why it's working and not just the steps you're taking. The steps could be to specific for another type business but if you know why it's working then you can adjust it to fit any kind of business.
