Editing an existing EA article

Hi, I have a quick question regarding Ezinearticles.

I wrote an article a couple of years ago which is currently ranked #1 for a reasonably competitive search term.

I would like to re-write the article. However, I'm concerned as to whether this would have any SEO ramifications.

Can anybody enlighten me?

Thanks!

I'd say do it. As far as I'm aware, search engines LOVE new stuff. And it might also make it harder for someone else to 'dislodge' you.

just make sure it's unique, of course.

    Hi,

Yo can spin your article as long as you make it unique from the original version. Use this tool

    http://www.internetreadycash.com/compare_articles.php

If the percentage shows 30% above then you can use that article in your submissions but make sure you keep the keywords intact.

Google only allows 2 articles from ezinearticles for the same search term and not more. If there are already two then either your old article will get replaced or your competition will get replaced.

Be careful, I made a small change to an article in Ezine articles which means the article has to be reviewed again. You've guessed it, it was rejected.

It had been there for years and I only altered the URL in the Bio box. It took two rewrites before it was accepted again.

Just set up another pen name/account and rewrite the article.

You could do this with all of your articles!!!

Even better - start putting your content on Web 2.0 properties and build up some links, submitt rss and you'll rank high..

    Enjoy...
