Fellow Mac Warriors,

I just found out about this new MacSpeech Dictate mac software which uses DNS as its recognition engine

But, it's a bit pricey at $176 without a microphone...

I bought DNS10 and think I might actually hock it on eBay and pick up MacSpeech dictate because I HATE using PC's

This is a great tool and the recognition engine is very good, if it can work with my Scottish accent then it can work with anyones.

Even at $176 is is a good investment for the time it can save if you use it on a regular basis.

  My copy of MacSpeech just arrived this morning. In fact I'm using it to write this post -- or should I say speak this post! So far impressed, I've managed to write one article although it does have a few bugs in it. If anyone has any tips on how to train it with the UK accent, I'd love to hear from you!

This is cool. I've been hoping we'd get a good Mac app for this. We had something for Macs a couple of years ago that my Dad tried using to write letters - and I know what you mean Sean - with his Scottish accent, the results were hilarious!

Although speech software has been around for years, even for Mac.. I prefer to do things the good old fashion way.. Type It!!

As for MacSpeech it has got many good reviews online. I posted something on the forum about it several weeks ago ...
