How would you turn $25 into profit?

I'm wondering if it is possible to make money online without having a lot of startup funds. I'm willing to put in the time to compensate, but is there really money to be made (say, within a week) on $25 or less, without an existing business structure or foundation?

All ideas, suggestions and resources welcome!

Your best bet might be to offer services right here on the WF, so scan your talents/match them to the marketplace, what are you good at? what can you provide of service?

See whats selling in the WFH marketplace, can you offer the same.

Then offer review copies to members to build trust and a rep, build it from there.

The very best of luck with it

In a week? ehh probably nothing long term or worth the $25 to start up. To make money within a week online without even using your money I would try Fiverr and hope for the best as people will not always use your service (as I just posted in reply to on another warrior topic about this issue).

What I would do, to create sustainable long term profit, with ever increasing income coming in.... buy a domain... build a website... build links, write articles about it, promote on social networks... then turn that traffic into money with affiliate ads, sell ad space, sell an ebook etc... the options are endless once you get the traffic.

If you decide to go with what I recommend, try registering your domain at namecheap and consider HostGator for the hosting... if you arent familiar with building a website try WordPress

There are other options to purchase domains, basic hosting and other methods to build websites but these I would recommend strictly on ease of use and affordable price.

Doing this would be the best long term, sustainable income solution...

I actually did consider Fiverr. In fact, I have a couple gigs up right now. But it seems like Fiverr takes two weeks from the gig completion to clear the payment. No one anywhere has mentioned this and I actually can't find any FAQs or anything on this. I'm just going based on the dates they're telling me by funds will be available for withdrawal.

Do you have experience with this? Am I missing something that could speed up the process? I definitely wasn't expecting the delay, although I'm not surprised. Hardly anything offers immediate payment...

You could invest $25.00 into Facebook ads and build a list and then market to that list

$25 in facebook ads is not enough to build a significant list, better to just not even spend the $25 bucks an just pretend you earned it again! IMO

You could build a facebook list and then market to it, but a week to build anything substantial is too short of time scale most likely if you are doing it with natural methods by yourself.

There is no money from nothing... you need to convey some type of value. So whatever you do, make sure you are providing value or I guarantee it probably wont make you much, if any money.

        Agreed!

Even if the value is of providing a free report or a video, like Frank Kern..

    Good ideas...keep 'em coming!

@Marchenzo: I actually thought about WFH a while back, but maybe I should look into it again. I was just concerned that I coudln't offer anything that would actually be profitable for me and/or valuable to someone else. I mean, someone is offering blog posts for 12 cents! Pretty sure I can't top that! But if I can find some creativity juice, that WFH really might be my best bet. Thanks!

@Brentb: I know! A week is kind of a tall order. I'm okay with the long-term business model too, but I was curious to see if anyone had any short-term solutions. I do have experience in buying domains, setting up Wordpress, etc. But I haven't done a great job at monetizing with articles and social networking. I guess traffic is what we all need! IT's nice to know that someone thinks this is a solid business model, though. I'll keep working at it!

@Zesh: Facebook ads, huh? I know nothing about it! Do you have a resource or two I could take a look at (or your could share some of your own widsom ) Thanks for the suggestion. I'm always looking to learn!

Within a week is a little tough unless you wanted to offer some services on the Warriors For Hire Section and use the $20 to pay for your thread.

Otherwise I'd use the $25 to get a domain and some hosting and start things out the right way!

Touche! I like the way you think, Brent!

The difference, of course, is that my signature link requires some upfront cash. It will work - most definitely! - but I'm looking for ways to make a profit without having many initial resources.

My ultimate goal is to try to help the "regular people", you know? All those people out there who struggle paycheck to paycheck and long to find financial security but absolutely cannot pay "sticker price". So I'm trying to do it first, then I'm gonna pay it forward!

      Chris,

Keep your money, and don't believe the naysayers.
I did this and you can too.

You can make money in a day or two, with zero investment.

I did this and went fro $0 to $300 a week immediately.

I made this post to help a fellow warrior, and I still use this and make a full-time income working 25 hours a week.

Good luck, and start this NOW!

Wow! That is an actionable plan, and so well laid out. I'm actually an excellent writer (thanks to my journalist mother!), but I always shied away from article writing services because I thought my perfectionistic tendencies would double or triple my time commitment. But I'm definitely willing to work hard. Like I said, I have the time. I just need a good plan that I know I can do. Maybe this is it!

(I don't have an Amazon website, but I do have a blog and another digital superstore. You suggest trying to trying to syndicate blog posts and article marketing for the store, or just try for 20 articles to sell per day?)

And thank you for the life story. It's nice to read it outside of a sales letter. Seems more real somehow. Plus, I don't know if a lot of people here started there. It's nice to know someone out there knows what it's like. Thanks for paying it forward! I appreciate it!

Why not offering an ebook or service in the WSO forum? I think the price for the privilege to post there is below 25$ and will make you much more in return the same day if you have a great idea

You know, DeLighter, that was my original idea! I thought it would be the fastest way to generate some income that could then be used towards building a long-term business. But there were two problems.

First, It actually costs $77 for a complete newbie because you have to be a War Room member ($37) and the WSO itself is $40. I realize that pales in comparison to the profit potential, but it's worth acknowledging.

Second, and more importantly, as a near newbie, I don't have any bright ideas, new twists, complete systems or anything that I feel I can offer as the basis for a WSO. That's where my real hang up happened. What can I write or produce that would be helpful to all of these revered Warriors? If you can answer that question for me, there's the money!

      My mistake !
Never realized that you must become a war room member to post there.

Luckily, there are so many free alternatives to advertise what you offer. So, get ready for my little secret that I use to turn $$ into $$$ within days (or even hours), without me having to re-invent the whole wheel.

This simple yet working method involves outsourcing a seo service which I offer on similar popular IM forums (listed below) that won`t charge a dime for advertisement. In other words, I outsource work (examples below) for a minimum price and offer it at a higher price on these forums. This way I can triple or even quadruple my previous investment in a matter of days.

      What I do (or did):

      1. I signed up as a member at w-i-c-k-e-d-fire or forum.digitalpoint and wrote useful posts to build up credibility. These popular IM forums are great places to find & sell seo related services.

      2. I created an account at fiverr.com . This is the ideal place to outsource my seo related work.

      The "hard" part:

      3. at fiverr, I searched for a backlink building or website optimization service for 5$. These two services sell best (around 20$-25$) on the aforementioned forums. I always look for trusted members with lots of positive feedbacks.

      4. after I ordered a gig and wrote around 10-20 useful posts, it was time to create my first free sales thread and wait for the orders to roll in, sometimes in a matter of hours. There are hordes of interested people paying good for this kind of services.

Writing a short sales letter isn`t tricky at all. To get the basic idea I simply looked over at similar threads posted there. It shouldn`t take more than 10 mins to have it ready and set.

      5. Finally, I deliver the backlink (or website optimization) service to my customer.

That`s basically the whole method explained! If it worked well for me than you can profit from it too.

Just another method to earn smarter not harder

The thing is, it seems to take two weeks before they will even allow you to withdraw from Fiverr to PayPal. And then you're right, whatever delay PayPal gives you must be considered too. I have their debit card so that part is instantaneous for me. But it is something to at least know, because everyone doesn't have that.

I've bought a few WSOs on Fiverr and not one of them mentioned this delay. I feel like it's crucial, especially for those using Fiverr as an emergency cash solution!

Join a cpa network, find a offer that applies to youngsters(not free ipads) something like bestbuy giftcard. Create a squeeze page stating companies want their opinions and they're giving away gift cards to best buy for it. go to fiverr.com and find someone that does video reviews, then draft up a 1 to 1:30 long script send to them to create a video talking about how they got a free gift card so on an so forth. And, end with them saying "just enter your name an email to the right for access," then insert it in your squeeze page.

Go back to fiverr and find a college age kid offering to post on his facebook an send him/her link to squeeze page(you've spent $10 bucks so far). Have the squeeze page forward them to a survey(that pays on average like 4 - 5 bucks per completion, make it content locked if you can. If not, then have them double opt in the email so an have the confirmation email include instructions to email you back when they finish to get their gift card) once they complete offer forward them to the best buy gift card offer(pays 1 - 2 bucks per sign up) an thats it.

take you remaining 15 bucks and find 3 more facebook post sellers and build your email list of students an email them a offer that they have to take a survey to unlock 1 to 2 times a week. And, watch your commissions roll in. This is a very easy beginner method.

In a week can easily be over $100 bucks if you chose big facebook account holders. that have the right demographic.

I really love the 2-1 offer idea and I'd like to try it. But I'm hesitant about the giftcard type offers. I know I don't even blink at those anymore, because I know they require a lot after the initial submit. Are they still popular enough to be profitable?

Also, what do you mean by "content locked"? I don't know that term...

EDIT: Okay, so you answered the first question while I was typing apparently! If I could start to think creatively like that, I'd probably kill at this Internet MArketing thing. But still...how does this setup work with content locking?

Content locking is a simple script that requires you perform an action then it releases the content you wish to attain. I'm sure you've experienced this online before. Ever go to a website for a free download of anything and then a window pops up an says "complete this to get your free download?" If you have, then you experienced content locking.

The network I use this with is ascend media. They're super easy to join and have content locked offers ready to go. Then I used maxbounty for the free offers(email submit) behind the content lock. Yeah, I hear you on the best buy gift card, I just used it as an example. The actual offers I used was a "free copy of black ops" offer<---black ops is a popular video game if you didn't know. I used "free laptop," I used "free ipad" it was new then it doesn't get that great of a response now. I used "free fandango gift card," and a couple others but search around on the network an find offers you feel will appeal to young people and go for it.

        • Chris, thanks for starting this thread. What great ideas people offered! I wonder if this kind of creativity develops with time? I can only hope!

Chris, for writing, have you tried the content mills? After you sign up, you get paid once a week, or with some every two weeks or every month. A few people in a forum I read make $200-$400 a week writing 300-400 or so word articles on assigned topics. MerchantCircle pays weekly. WiseGeek I believe pays twice a week.

How do I do a "thank"? I've seen it mentioned and noticed the "Thanks" in the profile info, but I can't seem to locate the how-to-do-it info. Not that I'm a newbie, you understand...:p

LOL, I am no innovator. Internet marketing is a copycat business. There's nothing new under the internet sun, just everybody puts their own spins on tried & true methods.

I came up with this because one day I was talking to my 16 yr old nephew(he was 15 at the time, last yr) and he was obsessed with purchasing this video game but he had no money an his parents weren't willing to buy it for him at the time. And, he knows I make money online so he's begging me to show him a way to make some fast cash to buy it himself. so, i asked him how many friends he has on facebook. He says he's got 300 kids from his highschool on there. And, the light bulb went off I ran that method with his schoolmates and 293 joined my email list and a good number filled out every offer over two weeks(I sent them 6 offers content locked with a 5 dollar survey unlocking it, and the offers were $1.50 to $3.00 per so I was making a minimum of $6.50 per sign up. Now x that by at least 75 an x that 6 times over)it adds up quick, so I split it with my nephew he got the game an a new ipod, and added to his savings account, his face when he saw how much he made was priceless. Lmao, I had to explain to my sister(his mom) a couple times why I was giving him almost $3,000 bucks but it turned out great. Then I just started doing it on fiverr, forums, college sites, etc.

One negative: what the guys that have sold similar methods focusing on college/high school kids don't tell you is these lists burn out pretty quick. I get a good 30 days before they lose interest, so capitalize on the initial wave and just reinvent new waves til you have enough money to reinvest in a more consistent, reliable method to monetize the internet.

Lol, well can't sell it now. I just gave it away for free, lol.

But, thanks for reading and I hope you give it a try.

That's pretty much the name of the game when it comes down to spending $25 to start your online business venture. You couldn't put it better than caper224 did.

If you have $25 and want to start making money "Online" Within 1 week.. Its almost impossible to touch most funds from a affiliate network for at least a couple of weeks. Their are only a select few networks that this would be possible. I would go out and spend that $25 on a funky hat and start posting video blogs on youtube.com or wacky gigs on fiverr.

Now if you really wanted to make best of your $25 and still have room to buy a supply of energy drinks for tonight.. and you know that if determined you will succeed and keep trying if failed. Well give this a go...

Buy a domain name + hosting at godaddy for like $12 combined w/ the $1.99 + hosting plan (Just select another hosting plan to pay per month and delete the year subscription that came with the $1.99 domain name). You will get $100 in google adwords and $50 for bing & yahoo. 30 days hosting, email accounts ect.. Sign up to google adwords, a couple affiliate forums, Clickbank, Cj, ShareASale, Amazon, PayPal. Find your Niche.. Clothing, Games, E-Books, Health, Services. Find your target and your keywords. Create a 3-4 page website that has a relevant domain name to the products you want to promote. 1 page is going to be information you want to share with your visitor and tell them you have everything they need. Offer them a free sample of your "Workout" routine if they sing up for your newsletter. 3rd page will be your order page where you put the link to send them to the actual product. Give this link out in your email newsletters. Put up google analytics and all of your pages. After all this is setup with email auto re-sponders or services (Aweber $1 First Month) it is time to run some advertisement on your website with those free credits you got. Try to stick to search network, and don't compete with the top dogs yet. Sit back and analyze your traffic with analytics, and figure out how people are using your site.

Use this method to find a niche you want to focus on, or use it to find a great merchant to promote.

Look we only spent $13, you could have gotten a box of cheez-itz and a 2 for 3 deal on some rock-star energy drinks

Media buys could be an idea, go to buysellads then get a product from clickbank, and post it on a high ranking website for a month. Make the product you choose relevant to the website, or be clever and put a weight loss product on a wedding site e.c.t. You could also do the CPA methods like caper is saying, but instead search for a video for example "call of duty black ops tralier" then you can contact the owner of that video, to see if (s)he will let you place you email submit offer for a free black ops in the description bar, that will be very profitable!

@JC: I would never have thought of media buys. I only did that once when I was trying to go through the GSC thing (I give that a big thumbs down, but that's just my opinion :rolleyes. Ads may work well in this context, though, especially the ones a little outside of the box, as you said. And I love your idea with the videos! Oh, for just a taste of some of this creativity... :p

@Jeff: Yeah, I'm not about something for nothing. I know that doesn't work. I asked this question because it seems like even when I put in all the time and take all the steps, I still get nothing back. I was just hoping that money wasn't an absolute requirement for this IM thing, because I really want to figure it out and start to help people. I'll check out your WSO. Thanks!

@Russ: Seems like a popular opinion, this Warriors For Hire. I'm no longer opposed to checking into it. I just want to make sure that the investment will yield some return and I don't end up posting and not getting any jobs. If you have any tips or tricks, I'm all ears!

Hi, I really like your attitude and I think that will be one of your keys to success. As has been mentioned you could do fiver.
You are offering article writing services and could do so there as well.

I am starting a gig site called Gig Universe that you can now go post your gigs on while we are in pre launch and we will start our marketing soon!
The great thing about what we are doing there is that 50% of corporate profits go to children's charities world wide. Don't worry it's not the sellers profits its the companies.

But to get faster money fiverr. Yes it's competitive but if you offer real value you can get a goodly amount of gigs.

Example: many people offer articles but how many offer 3 BMR articles guaranteed to pass or their free + 3 on page pr 5 links you can post all your site to as your free bonus!

You go into a real sub niche and give a bonus that in the eyes of the buyer is worth more than the gig as well.

It is EASILY possible, but the right mindset is required. You will have to put in work to get money back out. There is no such thing as money for nothing. That being said, if you're not afraid of putting in some time I just released a wso that would be perfect for you. See my sig file if you're interested. But yes starting on $25-$30 is exactly what I did and now I'm earning a full time income working from home.

You can always offer a service, but do people want that specific service?

For one, you can launch a service in Warrior For Hire. I see that you are into
article writing. If you were to quickly go through Warrior For Hire section, you
will see TONS of article writing services...

    Ask yourself these questions:

What makes my service different from others?

    What is your USP?

    - Setup a WP multisite
    - Setup X number of subdomains targeted at different niches
    - Do groupon on each site
    - Get $10 groupon money for each signup to groupon
    - Get groupon affiliate commission

Last week I averaged just over $1. per subdomain. This week I'm averaging 1.30 per subdomain. I'm using the P2 theme on each subdomain. My goal is to make $10 per subdomain each week.

You can do this on a low end server if you want to stay with the $25 but I have mine on a dedicated server just to serve stuff fast.

You can spend a few bucks like I did and automate everything with plugins.

I'd rather build a website on a "buyer" keyword with a lot of traffic. I find them the best way to build a steady passive income!

This thread has given me some insight on what I could potentially do in the future as I am now making money on fiverr I can use some of that money in investing, Im thinking of spending it on fiverr itself and looking for gigs which can get my site ranked higher in google as this would help me out alot with traffic and maybe earn me some more ad revenue. Is this a good idea?

Hey Chris, looks like you are offering services now in your signature. That's a great start! I bet you will get some takers for writing soon if you haven't already! That's how I started, and I still do it with writers that I have hired (I removed my sig for this post so as not to compete with you as it mentions my service).

Now, keep thinking long-term as well. Writing could be a long term solution, but it might not be what you want to do forever. Start building your own sites and products and such. And build a list. I would love to go back and have started building a list from the very beginning.

Interesting concept, I may have to try this one day! I may give myself a certain budget and then aim to reach a target with only that money. If you are simply starting from scratch and you don't want to put any money in because you are afraid you wont get anything back then Fiverr is always a good idea.. but can be hard to start with.

@Union: Thanks for your encouragement. I am definitely willing to work hard. I hust want my work to...work. You know what I mean! That thread you suggested is dynamite. I think someone else mentioned it here. I certainly think it's something I could do, if I just had enough creativity for a bright idea!

@BrightShiny: I have not looked into any other service networks, but that is an excellent idea! And that's something I know I could do!

Also, to thank someone there is a little black button at the bottom right of each post. Just click it!

@Casey: Thanks for the consideration. I really appreciate that! I'm not planning to do article writing as a long-term career. I'd like to branch out into something else, but I thought this may be a good short-term cash solution. I guess we'll see!

@Jenny: What kind of data entry are you talking? I'll take a little more info on that, if you don't mind!

    Hi Chris,

With $25 you can make a website with that...
Definitely if you put enough effort you will get a lot of income!
Ok, let's assume that domain is $7.5 hosting is $9.50 and autoresponder is $1 (1st-month)
I think you can do affiliate marketing by selling amazon, ebay or clickbank products in your website. Fill up your websites with great content 300-500 words each and do social bookmarks, web 2.0, RSS and article marketing.
I know it will still take time to build your list and gain significant income, but you still have to treat this as a business.
I hope my reply will help you. If you need more help don't hesitate to msg me.

    Cheers!

    • If I needed money in a week, I would start listing everything of value on eBay that's sitting around my house unused. (Perhaps my problem is that I *don't* need it in a week so I'm insufficiently motivated...)

You get 50 free listings a month and while eBay takes a bite off the back end (about 12% if you include PayPal fees) it's still more money that you would have had if you did nothing.

If for some reason you're short on things you don't need, ask a relative or a friend, then you two can split the proceeds. Or sign up for Freecycle and watch for eBay-able things being given away.

If you need money to come in within a week's time, you're going to have to offer services. There's really no way affiliate promotion is going to land you any money in that short a period of time if you haven't already set the framework in place to promote them.

You might think about doing some off-line work. Search through Fiverr.com and find gigs there that you know you can buy and offer the services to local businesses. Fanpage creation, Video creation, Traffic services, graphics, advertising - there's a lot of services on fiverr that you can turn around and sell to local businesses. Just peruse through and get creative. (a tip: Contact the seller before you start pitching to businesses. Ask them if they're still offering the service & how long a turnaround you can expect. Add in some cushion time when you pitch to your local businesses for any trouble that might come up.)

Yeap, Fiverr is definitely a good place to start if you are short on cash. Once you set up your profile properly over there and give the buyers a very good gig, you should get a decent amount of orders.

Some people over there are making hundreds of sales a week.

I would take that $25, put some of it toward a domain purchase at hostgator or godaddy ( but host with hostgator) then take the rest and put it aside as a reward for a weeks worth of writing articles and creating videos to bring traffic to the site you just bought promoting an affiliate offer! Girl, you can't get your hair or nails done with such little money, but maybe you can get like a few fingers or a few toes done, that's what I would do personally, but that's just me.

This is an awesome topic. In my world there is only 2 things that would really guaranty you actually make money. Those 2 things would be selling your services OR selling on ebay.

I would say the best way for quick cash is the ebay way because you do not have to convince people to try your services. You basically list items that people already want.
I am biased because I've been selling for over 10 years using the same methods. I'm married with 3 kids and my wife doesn't work, I live in a 2 story, 3bed 2 bath townhouse and I do this for a living. I don't care about fees and all the changes people complain about. I make large profits and 80% of the time I know I'm going to make money before I purchase an item to sell.
I am writing a book on how to do it that I am getting reviews on as we speak before launching but basically you would need a cell phone with internet or have someone you could call to look up items for you before you purchase. I mainly purchase used items in niches that have loyal buyers. An example would be the small appliance category of items like coffee makers, espresso machines, mixers, etc. These are great sellers but you have to get quality items and the way you do that is look them up on your phone with internet OR call someone with an internet connection.

I know this is a long post but I believe this is the way to get going we you don't have much to start with.

Last thing is I have a friend that consistently goes out to flea markets with less than $10 in his pocket and turns that $10 into $100. He does spend more time than I do but still makes a good profit. I make considerable more than that when I go out but I spend far less time out.

Believe in yourself. I believe in you as I'm sure many others here believe in you as well. Take action and don't look back. Last thing(did I say that before;0) don't listen to people that tell you you can't do something, listen to us that tell you you can do it!

Again I apologize for the long post but I want the best for you all.
