Newbie Info-Overload Destroyed!

If you are serious about making money (online/offline), read this.

If you are overloaded with information, but haven't yet made any progress (as in "taken action") this is for you.

This post will clear your mind and point you in the right direction, towards profit.

This is the philosophy that ALL people who succeed in IM implement.

Don't reinvent the wheel - use these simple principles, and start making money - maybe even today!

There is one, and only one goal your business must achieve.

Can you guess what it is? It must bring you profit. That's it. As long as it's ethical, and morally right by you, of course.

Everything else is icing on the cake. You can have other noble motives, but without profit you don't have a business. (Even charities need positive cashflow).

In order to make a profit, you need people to sell to, or what is commonly referred to as traffic.

So, your IM activities can be divided into three parts:

1. Bringing in traffic
2. Making sales (this makes your business exist)
3. Delivering a product service (inevitable necessity )

The traffic you bring, and the service you deliver must be focused on making you a healthy profit.

How to get traffic

SEO
Social media
PPC...

...are some of the most common ways to bring in traffic. When you are learning how to use them, keep in mind that they are simply traffic generation methods. Nothing more, nothing less. Choose one that can quickly bring you some traffic. If any of these methods don't apply to your business model, ignore them.

How to make a profit.

Selling your own product/service
Affiliate marketing (selling other people's products or services)
CPA, Adsense (redirecting your traffic for money)

Spend as little as it is efficient, and charge as much as the market will bear.

If any of those methods don't apply to your chosen business model, ignore them.

Here is the big secret: you don't need 90% of the information that's available to you. The reason being, not everything will apply to you, so don't waste your time!

Decide what can make you the most money (consistently), in return for your time, effort, and other resources.

You may want to do that before you start learning a method.

For instance, you could make money from copywriting, consultations, and selling information products (and software). (like me )

You can use PPC and/or SEO, to bring in traffic. Then simply build on your results.

Personally, I know little to nothing about Twitter, CPA, Adsense, article marketing, and many other online methods. As you may have guessed, I don't bother myself with them.

But, again, I make money everyday because I'm really good at the few methods I use. Get that?

Extra cash techniques:

If you are short of money, use sites like TheContentAuthority and Fiverr to make a bit of seed money.

If you are an experienced Warrior, please add to this. Thanks!

One of my biggest problems is info overload. Before I joined the forum I started a classifieds web site for locals and was going to just focus on monetizing it with adsense ... then I joined this forum and all of the sudden I created like 10 projects including Membership site, "seo blog" etc. 100% of them failed ... Why? I just simply didn't have enough time to put into them. After I realized that I stepped back and just focused on one thing ... Adsense and my classifieds site .... After I did that I started making a few bucks.

      That's the idea!

It's like this - the internet can be looked as another medium. So you choose something and go with it.

If you were to open a restaurant, would you learn how to do everything from All-you-can-eat to exclusive Italian restaurant? Of course not!

So, why do people think they have to know everything online?

Ya thanks for the post. There was once a time when I felt I needed to know everything about something before I can do something about it. Not true...it's all about selective ignorance and purpose-directed learning, to learn only enough about something to start on it. Because the truth of it is that true learning actually only happens when you do it!

Yep, I know this post is not as appealing as "Make $1473.56 in two days", but as soon as you apply what is says, you will get closer to making the money you want.

The key is just getting started with ONE thing. Then doing that ONE thing until you see some progress. This is a great post. If you don't have money coming in from your IM activities you can't quit your job and live the lifestyle you dream about. When things don't work immediately for a lot of newbies they get frustrated, quit, and look for the next magic bullet. There is no magic bullet. Chances are success was right around the corner with the method they were using. It just took some tweaking to get there.

My best advice to any newbie, is pick one thing you think you would like to do for IM. Learn how to do it well. Then focus on that, and don't give up no matter what. Then you WILL see profit.

        Great post!
