What is a good site for looking up domain availability? I would like to be able to type in the phrase and it tell me what is taken... the .com, .org etc. I know there is something like this out there, but I can't seem to find it. Thanks, sorry for the newbie question.

I use nameboy.com so I can play around with keywords - and a registrar site doesn't know what I'm choosing until I buy it.

Edit: CAUTION - if you use godaddy or another registrar site to look up domains - buy the domain when you find it. If you leave the site you may find the domain taken if you come back to buy it tomorrow. This is third party software that makes temporary registrations. It's easy to avoid - but frustrating when it happens.

Expired Domain Search -- ExpiredDomainBoss.com is also great for looking up recently dropped domains that contain a certain phrase.

Edit: With a nod to Gene who I believe created this site.

U can easily checkout with GoDaddy.com , it clearly shows you immediately whether ur needed domain is available there or not..

Tip: Make sure to use a keyword in your domain so that u can easily rank well for that keyword.

    Sup Brit,

Use the Go Daddy Bulk Domain Registration tool if you have a list of high traffic phrases.

    It rocks. I have found many a 12k, 30k, 80k, 120k EMD's via that precious tool.
