How to Use Social Networks to Market Website

Hi there Warriors,

I have a blog that is getting 100-150 visitors a day. So far, I have been focusing on creating quality content as well as links through article marketing, forum posting, and blog commenting.

I think it may be time to start using social networks like twitter, facebook, digg, ect. but do not know where to start.

Do any of you have any advice to point me in the right direction or a good place to start?

    I'd recommend starting with automation software like tweet adder and tube toolbox.

    I'm currently looking for a good Facebook one too that does not cost 500.00.

    What you want to do is establish yourself as an expert in the niche you've chosen. So you want to be the content aggregator, so what this means is you go out there and you collect the most important topics in your niche, and find blog posts on these topics, and then you comment on these blog posts in say, your twitter posts. Occasionally you can slip in a post about your own blog post as well, but the idea here is to be seen as the 'go to guy' for the niche you are in. Start this conversation with your followers and build this relationship so they start trusting you, then gradually you can market your website more to them.

      Thank You for the reply atwellpud and Marcuslim,

      I also need to know if I just sign my site up for a regular facebook/twitter account and just start posting, or do I need to sign up for some other type of account and build a specialized page?

      I always see those facebook "like" buttons as well. Is there a plugin or something that can put these into a wordpress site?

    Every time you post new content to your blog, tweet that blog post, then post the link to your new blog post on your facebook, then on your facebook fanpage.

    Then you can take the rss feed of your blog and post it to feedburner.

    Then you can e-mail your blog post to your email list and tell them to send it to their lists for a chance to win a new i-pad or whatever. The incentive has to be good

    The long and the short of it is this. Yes, you can do these things yourself or have some funky software doing it for you, but the VERY BEST way to use social media and it's power is to GET OTHER PEOPLE, LOTS OF OTHER PEOPLE, TO DO IT FOR YOU!

    Tonight, I want you to go to sleep with this question in your head, "How can I get thousands of people to tweet, like, buzz, digg, twat, share, etc. my content...?"

    Then you will be steering your brain into the right path for how social media is really used by the pros.

      Agreed. The world of Social Media is participated by a lot of people, both internet savvy and not. Which is why we have to 'socialize' with them. Be real and positive. This will encourage and turn visitors into potential customers.

      Let me also add this,.. Don't just tag people with pictures of your product. Make sure that the products you're selling are relevant with the people you are tagging. Although Facebook is a great place to sell, make sure to strategically target who your customers are. This will most likely give better results.

    You can grab one of the many wordpress plugins out there where the visitor can just click and follow you on twitter, facebook, digg etc... these social network icons will show up on the bottom of each post giving the visitor an opportunity to click on anyone they choose. You could just google social network plugins and you'll find plenty of options

    You can also have your blog post automatically get tweeted to your twitter account by grabbing your blog's rss feed and submitting it to something like hootsuite (it does cost $5 a month). What hootsuite does is it checks your rss feed periodically for new posts and if it finds one, it will tweet it to your twitter account (or other social networks you might want to link up to hootsuite)

    In fact, for a online marketing. usually you should not need to make everyone to your shop. you can find out who need or interest your product or service. and then invite them to come.
    So you can establish some websites which are related about your product or service. in this way, people can find out you by them.

    You need to only sign up initially to the different social networks then from then on you write your content, throw in your link and it sends to all the networks at once. Great piece of software. Think its $1
