Squeeze page vs eBay for physical product

Hi guys,

Just want to contribute a little bit back to here and share some tips on a tricky method I've done for some of the physical product I've been promoting online.

Now most people are using eBay or Amazon to directly sell their physical products online, and a month ago I just came across a smart guy selling "coffee packages" with a squeeze page, exactly what lots of ppl use for selling info products.

So just for fun I've done some testing by using a squeeze page to get optins and promote the offer on the backend (email directing to our 1page sales letter).

As of today it's been 28 days and I've got around 400 targeted traffic (from Google) and my conversion rate so far is about 58%, the profit from this method in 28days is already the amount that we would normally get from eBay in about 2 months.

Just to share an experience here and to encourage people to test things out before deciding on "the best" method.

It'd be great if you'd share what you think and which method you'll prefer for a normal physical product.

I like the squeeze page option the most. Then you can use the names to further tweak the offer.

eBay is usually only good for things that people know and very often the fees eat up all the profit.

But as you prefer the 1 page sales letter approach and I would start with that.

    I agree with HP.

The squeeze page is the first option.

Thanks for starting this thread, I'm curious about the usage of landing pages and squeeze pages on physical products as well...

Awesome thread... at least for what I am working on right now

I am brainstorming some coffee sales funnels as well and the video sales letter is where I am leaning right now. This is work for a client so I have to make sure he is on board with the final incarnation, but I would be interested in hearing what you decide to do. I am probably a month or two out from beginning to set everything up. When are you looking to move forward with whatever you decide?
