Question about iframing on a Facebook fan page

5 replies
Hi Warriors,

I have a question I wanted to ask you and hopefully somebody can help me out.

I want to add an iframe to my reveal tab with an offer from one of my affiliates, and my question is, is it possible to automatically re-size the affiliate webpage to suit my iframe dimensions (520x720)?! Right now scroll bars are added to the bottom and right sides of the iframe and it looks really ugly and unprofessional not to mention that about 30% of the webpage is not visible unless you scroll up or to the sides...

Please let me know whether something like this is possible, or if there are any other solutions I might not even know about.

Thanks in advance people!

    Have you tried changing the the app "IFrame Size" setting to "Auto-resize"?

    Of coure it's going to be cleanest to rework the artwork to fit.

    Unfortunately, pages are not enclosed in adjustable containers like videos. You're going to have to redo the page to meet the 520px (I'd actually keep it at 510px) width of the iFrame.

    The auto-size option for the iFramed FB app is for height only.

    NO. It is not possible. You are actually thinking to get control of your provider.

      You can also add this line in your CSS body {overflow:hidden;}

      Make sure it's the first line, otherwise it may not work in most browsers.

      That will hide the scroll bars. Then of course, you need to reduce your width.

      if you know the height you can also use FB.Canvas.setSize({ width: 520, height: NNN }); where NNN is your height in pixels.
