I have used oDesk in the past and it was moderately successful. It took a lot of tweaking the job post and interviewing a lot of article writers before I found a writer with excellent English and proper grammar. You will have a lot of searching to do. Instructions must be perfect or your articles could come back and be completely useless...money down the drain. However, if you search and screen them hard, you should be able to get a decent article. Also, Warriors for Hire section has lots of article writers to choose from. I have used 99centarticles in the past and they were great. I ordered twice and had to do minimal proofing of the article and the keyword density was exactly as requested.

that is up to you. I had to do it, so you should too, not going to give my best writers in here. lol.

Put an ad up in Warriors Wanted section. You will get severeal replies within a few hours. Look around the forum for someone that is looking to start as a writer or someone that is already a writer and stands out here. Ask if they would be interested in writing for you. You can find some real Gems here.

  Being a content creator myself, and often times having to use articles and scripts clients provide me from writers in foreign countries I would suggest going with someone who speaks English as their primary language. Granted there is some trial an error doing that as well, but most generally you're going to get a much higher quality article that will in turn bring in more long term traffic. As someone else said, if you find a good writer in a foreign country it is golden, and hold on to them!

I'm in the same boat as you - i'm tossing up between getting a VA to do the work or using a service provider.

GetArticlesDone - Article Writing Service comes well recommended and for the price it seems like a no brainer.

I'm going to scout around for a few more hours for more vendors before i make a commitment - so if anyone can recommend someone or some-services please let me know

Unless your looking for a full time VA, I would recommend Odesk, as I've used it with a fair bit of success. As mentioned in one of the previous comments, if the content is for your blog or site, you're better off going with a native english speaker. The quality of work compared to what you'll get from non-english speaking countries is so much superior.

Even when you employ a native english speaker, you want to give them as much detail as possible. I usually gave an example of an article for them to understand what my expectations are. Don't just give them a title and expect them to come up with something that you'll love. Well it could happen, but more often than not it won't.
