How to get testimonials for a new product?

Hi, guys,

I am about to roll out a new product and need testimonials.

What do you do in this situation?

I don't have a list yet, so this is not an option.

Thanks for advice...

Offer review copies in the JV forum.

And contact potential affiliates, offer them review copies.

Yep, thats one of the best ways.
Also if you see someone in the WSO section who seems to do a lot of reviewing approach them and let them know you've taken notice of their key eye to review products and would like the chance for them to share honest feedback about yours.

You can also sell your product ridiculously low in order to get more copies sold and more feedback. Also within your product mention you'd love feedback about the products pros and cons and how it can be better.

Feedback is great because you can almost instantly create more value because people are telling you exactly what it is that can make your product stronger...take advantage of this!

Another thing you can do is give a piece, like a chapter or module, of you product away free and ask for feedback. Then when you launch your complete product, you have honest thoughts about your "sneak peek"

There are many ways to get reviews and testimonies if you don't have a list. Use leverage of others, be creative, and don't be afraid to just ask.

Give out the product for people to try as long as they can give you a honest answer. After they have tried the product they can give you there views. After you receive the reviews take the best ones and use them in your sales letters

What's worked for me is to email my subscriber list and see if anyone there wants to take a look an write a testimonial (if they like it). If you have a subscriber list put them first, they'll thank you for it later.

When you're offering review copies I would always limit the numbers. When you tell people there's a limited supply you'll get more people interested.

What every body is saying is accurate I'd just go a little further... Look for your best buyers, the people you are targeting... find at least ten of them that you'd sell the product but instead give it to them for free if they give you honest feedback.

That way you are not only getting feedback that can improve your product but you are receiving testimonials that will definitely convince your other "perfect buyers" because they will feel identified with them

I think he said he didnt have a subscriber list.

Question to the OP. Do you have a website? Is it getting traffic???

If so, get an optin on there and do as suggested above.

Chris, thank you so much for the infographic - it puts the whole process in perspective. But, to start with, I need to find a way to reach a host of potential customers, as I don't have a list.... Will use other suggestions for that...

Actually, the advice above is no longer valid.

To find people to give you some feedback, you can either:

        1. Post in the Warriors looking to hire you (cost is 5 bucks) to ask for some reviewers or beta testers or what ever you want to call it

        2. Post on your WSO upon launch that you are offering some review copies. These can be free or paid.

Offer it for free in the war room. You need to become a member first as well.

Then you can put in the product or ask on the download page, "If you like this... Please leave me a quick review I can use on my site."

You can offer copies to a few people so that they can try it out and give you honest reviews. Do not be offended if the reviews are a little brutal. This can be really good for your business because it helps you improve the product before you put it out there. There is nothing worse than disgruntled customers to kill your business.
