Hey Warriors,

We see a lot of talk here about the 'Internet Marketing Lifestyle' as though it's the holy grail of life but I've seen a LOT of different interpretations of what that actually means to people.

I used to think that if I could earn my money on the internet and work from home and not have a commute etc. that it would be the best thing ever.

What I found was - I got bored!!!

Really bored!

Sure it was nice to sit around and write books and do interesting stuff, but when you don't have to leave the house at all it's really easy not to.

Be careful what you wish for - you just might get it.

I'd like to suggest that if your dream is to work from home - make sure you have stuff going on to get you out the house.

I made my day start with a swim at the gym and then writing some of my book in a coffee shop and arranged to meet my clients at restaurants and have meetings over lunch or coffee so that I had those reasons to get out every day.

I know some people also end up renting office space because they find they can't be productive at home.

So if you're just starting out and thinking working from home on the computer is a dream - don't assume it's all good without a little planning of what your day would be like.

Couldn't agree more. I started missing having contact with people ... in person contact. I started going out for lunch or coffee a few times a week and got to know the regulars and the business owners and workers. Even bought a Christmas present for the kid of one waitress because she couldn't afford it. Things like that keep you feeling connected to others in a way that is hard to duplicate online.

Volunteering some time once or twice a week to a good cause is another way to get out and stay connected, plus it has the added benefit of helping someone in your community, which helps your community.

I don't really do any writing in diners, though I used to, but I sometimes like to work out ideas at my favorite coffee shop or the library. Sometimes a change of scenery can spur ideas in unexpected ways.

I only live a two blocks from the river so a lot of times I just take the dog for a walk. As for the question, "what's your dream," I'm close to living it. Just a couple more pieces to put in place.

The dream for me is financial stability and working on my own terms. I'm tired of doing all the hard work while some chump takes all the money and throws me scraps. Also, I would love to work from home.

Fortunately for me, I'm very active and have a lot of interests. I've been an avid weighlifter for 20 years and I love being able to train in the morning or early afternoon.

Also, I'm only a mile from the ocean, so I could do plenty of fishing.

it wasn't long before I realized that too. That's why I started working primarily at night. So I could just go out and enjoy the day, play outside go fishing, or something all day instead of just sitting around while everyone else was at work.
