making a site more appealing

guys quick question I have a site www.onlinemoviescanada.com its a a little niche site but my question is it looks like crap all it is, is a wordpress blog now where do most of you guys with really nice microniche sites get your themes and make them look more pleasing and in turn get more people to click through. Can I do i my self or should i get it freelance, myself would be better because I dont wanna spend money without knowing if its worth it. Thanks everyone.

    You can try doing it yourself. If you find it easy, then go ahead with the rest of your sites. If not, you can get someone to do it for you for a fee. It will save you on time which you can use to work on other important things.

    Try and implement a few more pictures and change to a brighter theme, always helps! Especially when people are trying to read a massive amount of text!

    It actually depends on how much customization you want. You can get a decent looking theme for a few bucks from themeforest but you can even get pre built CTR themes. If your site is generating a sufficient revenue then it might be worth getting a freelancer as well though i wouldn't recommend it.

    If you're quite experienced with WP then have a go at it yourself. If not get someone from Fiverr or Odesk to jazz it up for you. There a couple of people on the WF selling themes for movie and satellite tv blogs, check them out in the products and services section.
