Need payment gateway for call-center...

I've been using standard PayPal to process online orders for years. This way I avoid the hassle of secure pages, PCI, etc.

I also have a merchant account that I use for phone and mail orders. I enter the customer's details on their virtual terminal webpage.

But I can no longer handle the number of phone calls coming in, mostly to place orders, and I'm literally losing money (as well as damaging my customer service).

Luckily, I've found an affordable, live answering service with the capability to take customer orders. The problem is that they require access to an order form and payment gateway. PayPal doesn't cut it (even if it did I want something different for customers who refuse to use Paypal).

I ultimately want my own secure order page connected to my merchant account but this gets complicated and I need something up and running as fast as possible.

Would it be legal for call-center employees to log-in to my existing merchant account virtual terminal to enter customer and credit card details? I believe the company is bonded for this purpose. I could also change the password on a regular or even daily basis.

I know I'll need to discuss this option with merchant account officials but is it a customary practice in this situation?

If this option is ruled out, what about other 3rd party processors such as 2Checkout? Will any of these work with phone orders to a call center?

Many thanks for any suggestions. I really need to solve this problem!
