A Powerful Secret Learned From Visiting Matt Bacak At Frontier Marketing Inc. Back In September '08

I went and visited Matt Bacak at his office about 30 minutes from where I live a few months ago back in September '08.

If you don't know who Matt is, he's one of the wealthiest marketers on the entire internet (and a Warrior here on the forum).

When I was there, I got a handful of lessons from Matt. I'm sure he didn't even know he was teaching me that much, but to me it was a priceless experience that I look back on when doing business all the time.

I hope he's okay with me telling you this one secret... If not, then I'll delete this post immediately.

If taken to heart, I think it'll also blow open your income in 2009.

It's a simple philosophy, but if understood and used, it's very powerful.

...And that one secret is this...

Not everything you do on the internet is going to work. You launch things and fail. You try new things and fail.

HOWEVER...

Whenever something works on a small scale, you then "put it on steroids."

You scale it up.

This is how I've been taking this secret and applying it...

Instead of jumping from one thing to the next trying new things, I'm looking back on what has worked for me on a small scale.

Then I create a .txt file and list them. That list becomes my focus for growing my business.

...Sure I'll still experiment, test new things, and launch different types of products and services I've never tried. Just not as much because I can simply take, for example, all 10 things that work on a small scale and "put them on steroids."

At least somebody took the lesson to heart.

On the entire internet? Slight exaggeration there I think Jason. Matt uses forced continuity probably to great effect but I very much doubt he is one of the "wealthiest marketers on the entire internet".

He only said that Matt is "one of the wealthiest marketers on the entire internet."

This is not hyperbole... Matt is one of the wealthiest!

It would be much different if he said that Matt was the hands down most wealthiest to ever market on the internet.

      There's a big difference.

But, getting past that, the point of Jason's post was clear.

If something works on a small scale... turn up the volume and make it work on a large scale!

Let's just put it this way. He's one of the only marketers on the internet with a private jet.

    Nice tip Jason.

The second part of that lesson is the gift - scale winners!!!

    Nice tip Jason. =)

I think the lesson to be brought home
here is not weather he is the wealthiest
    marketer or not.

    The key thing is scaling.

Perhaps I can use what I learnt from
    another marketer.

He knew my blogging product does well.
So he recommended me to scale it out,
    perhaps by providing blog membership,
    blog consultation, blog service.

In a business, the number one thing
we have to note is scaling.

    Is your business scaleable?

If no, how can you scale it?
If yes, how can you scale it better?

And the worst thing one can do
to his own business is to plant himself
    in his business model.

We can't scale ourselves as we
only have that limited amount of
    time and energy.

But we can always scale our business
    by expanding what works well.

    My 2 cents,
    John

Great tip there. My philosophy has always been "try, fail, adjust."

Success and failure go hand-in-hand. You can't have success without failures along the way. Keeping this idea in mind will keep you from just quitting when something doesn't go your way.

    Thanks for sharing.
