how much would you pay for a comment on a niche specific blog?

Hi,

I am looking at adding a few back links to my site. I have a bunch of blogs on which I want to comment and would like to outsource the commenting process.

What is a good rate per comment, keeping in mind the comment must relate to the main article.

I am thinking of: $0.5 per comment?

  • Is that five cents or fifty?

If I were doing the commenting, I'd charge at least $1 a comment, but I write stuff that often inspires the blogger to return the visit.

It all depends on the quality of the service, I believe.

    Hi Jannes,

Please excuse me if these are smackhead questions, but when you say "I have a bunch of blogs" do you mean that you own those sites yourself? Or that they're other people's blogs, relevant to your niche, on which you're hoping that outsourced comments with backlinks to your site will stick?

Are you asking only about how much to pay people for posting comments for you, or how much to offer the blog-owners to publish your comments-with-backlinks?

I do quite a lot of this, myself (I think it's a great source of some targeted traffic and relevant backlinks, when I can find the right blogs for it), but it isn't something I'd too readily be willing to outsource to anyone. It's too highly skilled for that to be easy, and unfortunately there's a real downside to failure. Finding suitable blogs isn't too easy, and one doesn't want to "burn" them on people's learning-curves. I'd be concerned that "cheap labour" will make a mess of it, and the majority of comments won't actually make it through people's (universal) moderation-filters.

You have to make thoughtful comments, adding genuine value, of the type you'd welcome on your own sites.

If I could find people who could really do this satisfactorily and productively, including identifying the sites, I'd pay a lot for it, actually. But I do think it's a hard one to outsource.

I hope I haven't misunderstood your question, and will be interested to see others' replies.

Do you mean comments on blogs that you own or on other blogs for use as backlinks?

Either way, you can probably find someone on fiverr.

      Hi guys,

Sorry for the lack of clarity. I will give you my whole plan, I am making use of Comment Kahuna, it's free, to generate a list of blogs that are related/relevant to my niche. The list tends to get a bit long, hence the question regarding the outsourcing of the commenting.

Ideal world - I generate the list, post the job and get my back links and on second thought I will maybe pay $1.00 per comment....but then again that will be in an ideal world,

      awaiting your thoughts,

      Jannes

If you are outsourcing it you should be able to get it cheaper than that. It would be better to pay someone by the hour. In fact there's are some outsource brokers here on WF that could probably help you out.

      Hi grandfaraone,

I am a bit unsure of what you are asking, but just to clarify. I am not promising anything to any one, all that I am looking to do is pay people to comments on blogs that are related to my niche. The one aspect that is unclear is how much I must pay for this to be done, hope this answers your question,
