Squidoo article submitting or Blog?

Hello, I was wondering what is better and also works better, would posting lenses on squidoo be better than a blog or would a blog be better? Which one would provide the most traffic? I know that a blog would probably be easier to drive traffic to, but what one would you choose? thanks.

    That really depends on the niche that you are trying to target.

    I personally prefer sites that I own.
