Where did you incorporate?

This is probably for the more experienced marketers out there.

When you incorporated a business, what state did you do that in? Does it matter where you incorporate?

I'm having trouble finding a lot of useful information about incorporating an online business that doesn't have a physical presence and does not have a physical product.

What have some of you warriors done?

    Hey man,

You need to incorporate in the state in which you live. I am assuming you do work for your online business? Therefore you have nexus i.e. legal presence wherever you live, and that is where you need to create a legal structure to protect yourself. It doesn't matter if your "internet business" doesn't have a office or post address.

I would also suggest an LLC over any other type of structure - write out more details about your situation and I would be happy to help

Also my advice comes from my own experience in incorporating a business and my general interest in reading up about corporate and tax law
