CPA on a gaming website?

I own www.gamerzville.com which I don't really use. I suck at reviews and writing so I've not really added new content to the website and I can't afford to outsource.

There are ads floating about on my website that my old partner put it on but I've no idea how to get them off, so I'm not sure he's making money from it or not. We get about 1,200 visitors each month.

He's also put a WOW Freebies feature, so I know he's collecting names and emails.

I'm just not sure what direction to go in right now, and I heard CPA is good for gaming websites?

Any advice?

That amount of visitors (1,200) is nothing to sneeze at.

... you say that you own the website, but your 'old' partner has his affiliate information still plugged in?

If I were you, I'd switch every thing up. Install your own autoresponder information. Ensure that all affiliate links begin to lead to yours.

And, of course, install AdSense onto the blog to try to capture some money from the visits you are getting.

... and more content will certainly help grow the blog. Since you say content really is not your thing, you can find some very good choice in the Warriors for Hire section. Plenty of competent writers to be found who will help you popular your blog.

As for CPA: yes, that is certainly another route you can take. It won't hurt to try. If it doesn't pan out, you can always do away with it and try other options.

But, one thing is for sure ... I would NOT let that traffic go to waste, or let it be used by your old partner.

In my opinion the site needs a serious restructuring, however, you need a plan going forward. Simply put, CPA offers targeted towards gamer's do very well. I once did a media buy on an extremely popular massively multi-player online website.

Ran a "free to play" CPA offer for a game and did very well. Very. Well. I would still be doing it, but the website owner caught on and stop allowing me to run those ads--which he then did himself and made a far greater profit.

If you can swing it, you can gear the site towards World of Warcraft and Rift. There are a lot of products one could promote as an affiliate, including the aforementioned FREE to play game offers.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

Sorry to double post but in I'm in my Wordpress Dashboard now, and I have no idea where I go to remove the adsense code that is currently on there.

Also, my new wordpress theme that I've just installed, has boxes telling you to install certain Google Ads there, where in the Dashboard do I paste the codes into?
