How do you choose affiliate products?

What factors do you use to choose physical affiliate products to sell besides search volume and competition??

    Is there a market?
    Are people actually buying?
    Who is buying said product?
    What is the age of the person buying the product?
    Is the product a discretionary item or an in demand much needed product?
    What is the price point and the commission structure?
    How many other affiliates are pushing this product?

    Ask yourself if you were looking for this product online would you buy it?

    Put yourself in the buyers shoes and do a search and see what other products are out there that are similar to your affiliate product and see if the affiliate product you are wanting to promote is a better product or a better deal for the consumer.

    If the affiliate product is over saturated then you might want to move on to a more niche affiliate product, there is always a market out there, it might not be a big market but there is a market and you can be the main person in that market.

    If there wasn't some kind of market then the product would have not been made in the first place.

    I usually read the copy and based upon how well it makes
    me want the product, I guess how well the copy will
    convert.

    If anything about the website/copy throws up a red
    flag or strikes me as hard to believe, then I don't usually
    bother.
