Why Do They Hate PLR So Much?

Hi guys,

Ezinearticles disallows any resource box that promotes a PLR-related site. My friend told me he got disapproved by Clickbank because they disapprove anything related to PLR.

BUT WHY? What are their basis for disallowing PLR? Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,
Michael

Maybe because so many people use PLR content uncorrect (that is unmodified), and that is seen as duplicate content by Google, giving nothing but trouble.

      Probably just a business decision.

Maybe it has to do with fraud, and some people selling EZA content as PLR.

They want original material and PLR is not. And a lot of folks don't even re-write it as they should. It's also hard to figure out the actual rights so they don't even bother--they just black list it all. The good and bad.

I wrote an article about podcasting tips on EZA and they made me remove one of the tips which was recording PLR articles to easily create podcasts so yep they don't even let your mention PLR in your original articles. Once I removed the reference to PLR my article was published. They really do hate PLR.

Sorry, but that isn't correct. I have PLR articles that rank on page 1 in Google because the sites they're on have the links and so forth to make that happen.

If you think Google gives any thought to duplicate content across many domains look at news sites and lyrics sites, same basic content over and over and over again, only the ads and navigation schemes change.

It is a SEO decision by EZA since they know that Google will give them top billing on a new article because of their general site authority. If the article has already been published elsewhere and has specific keyword anchored links Google's algorithm might see things differently.

I'd guess on Clickbank they mainly want new, original, products to protect their already spotty reputation. But they've been letting more recurring membership based products come into the fold recently. It will be interesting to see where they go with that.

      Hey Lee,

I'd say ebooks4U gave the best answer here:

It was a business decision based on how people used PLR over the course of the last couple of years.

The main peoblem is that the same content is being used over and over, without changing it significantly. Beings how at least Google expects to see more original content on websites to better their serch results, I suspect this had a lot to do with Chis Knight's decision at EZA.

  • Because people are lazy, ignorant, and unwilling to try things legit.

PLR is 99% a joke. Use it for what it is, and then move on. How many PLR membership sites can one community freaking want?

Money isn't real, George. It doesn't matter. It only seems like it does.
