Listen to a one-hour webinar in 10 minutes

Do you hate webinars, as I do? Most of them are designed to chain you to the computer for an hour while someone tediously explains concepts that you could absorb in 10 minutes from a PDF or more conveniently listen to as an audio while walking or driving or cooking.

There are two big "ifs" in this equation, but here goes...

IF the webinar provider tends to provide access to the recorded webinar afterwards for those who register, AND

IF the webinar uses the standard Powerpoint design with a lot of bullet points on the screen,

Then register, skip the live webinar, wait for the link "in case you missed it" and lurch forward through the webinar looking at the bullet points. It's like getting an outline of the contents.

Most of the time there are only a couple of points that are new to you anyway. And if it turns out to be the rare groundbreaking, eyepopping, mind-blowing presentation, you can always slow down and watch the best parts at that time, when it's convenient for you.

I had signed up for a webinar at 1 pm. today, and I'm 95% sure this expert provides a link afterwards so I'm going to go for a swim instead and wait for the link.

Cheers,
Marcia Yudkin
