Google Search Question

Hi All

Could someone explain why this happen?

I was doing a search in google for some keywords and the
results get me confused.

When searching without brackets it gives for example 6.500.000
When using the keyword into " " it gives ex.8.600.000

Wasn't suppost it be lower results when making the exact search?

I really don't understand.

Thank's
Jorge

Do you really waste your time with that?

Is not a question of wasting time,it confuse me.

Because it should be the other way,no quotes more results, quotes less results.

I have tried with several keywords.

Allways having a lot more results without the quotes

      I don´t see anything wrong.

My advise? Forget about it, come on.

      Saludos

Personally, I would look at the sites ranking on the first (and maybe second) page and review their content

looking at those numbers really isn't helpful -- seeing who comes up first for that keyword gives you alot more info so you can build a plan and start strategizing

This is actually very useful. When you put quotes around it, Google includes the white spaces in the search. In other words, it looks for the exact quote.

If you don't include it, it looks for any combination of those keywords on the page.

This is why you got less results: when you put quotes around it, it is more restrictive and will pull back a reduced data set...

Yes, but the thing here is : I got more results with the quotes than I get without quotes.
