So many different ways to make money in IM, I'm starting to feel overwhelmed with the information at hand.

I'm a student, looking to make large profits (I'm able to do it once im pointed in the right direction)

And so far with the research i've done, these seem to be the best choices for IMers -

- Creating your own products (ebooks.. what else?)

- Creating an online store and selling products (most likely requires team work for big incomes)

Thats all I know right now. As far as Niches go...I have afew in mind in the Entertainment category but thats about it.

I'm looking to start on a project tonight or tomorow, again I just want to be pointed in the right direction and commit to it.

This was all overwhelming to EVERYONE here at once. Take one step at a time and everything will be ok. Just remember it is a process.

Try this one on for size:

Until you consistently take action you are new to IM.

If you have already, then fantastic - the next frame of mind necessary is:
"Until you actually get a check from your online efforts you are new to IM"

If you have already, then fantastic - the next frame of mind necessary is:
"Until you scale up what worked you are new to IM"

If you have already, then fantastic - the next frame of mind necessary is:
"Until you make X amount of money per day you're new to IM"

        See where this is going?

Agreed. Just take it one step at a time. Try one thing and work at it. Even if its just a little at a time. Break up what you have to do into pieces and work at knocking those pieces down every day.

It is hard knowing you have to walk miles. But you don't have to do it all at once. Just take it step by step. Eventually you will get there.

I would suggest taking a look into the Amazon affiliate program. People trust Amazon so it isn't quite as hard to convince them to buy. Just pick a family of products like Gas Grills or something and start writing reviews over the various models. It is a lot more complicated than that, but there is tons of information in this forum (as you know) to help guide you. Here are a few threads I found helpful.

I'm with ya on that, it's extremely overwhelming. This is my 2nd attempt at internet marketing, i tried 2 years ago and failed miserably. I'm hoping my site in the signature, and everything else I learn on this forum will get me on the path to success.

Failure? Come on boys. It's only a failure if you stay down.
If you get up and dust yourself off before going at it again,
that's success in the making. Do one thing and be known for
one thing. Kudos to anyone that's been knocked down and
jumped backup to go at it again.

One of the reasons most people fail at an internet related
business is becuase they are trying to do it alone. That
don't work. Read this post and you'll get the drift.

Yeah, keep building that compound education, the more you learn, the more tools you'll have to succeed. The good thing about this forum is its a huge pot of knowledge. As I tell my girlfriend, I may be poor but I have thousands of ideas and hopefully one day that will get us to the life we want. I couldn't imagine just slaving at a job for the rest of my life without looking for alternatives, so at least we're in the right mindset ya know?

Alright well everyone knows the basic Clickbank/Affiliate marketing ground most people use and do on the site

but like, there is sooooo many different paths and mathods and tricks and yadda yadda that one gets lost in all the strategies lol

another thing is, WHO TO TRUST. cause second time I came here, I trusted a guy he sold me an ebook for like 17$ on "how to make 1000$" a week...I read through that book...the information was basic and too the point and I followed through...but there were holes and missing information in the ebook which I had to look up elsewhere. all together the whole process didnt work out.

Now I look at other threads where people are talking about 100,000$ a day (which I think is possible with the right guildance and knowledge)

bottom line, legit and straight forward information will make you money ..Im sure there is some madly successful people on this that would help me (and you too) out. its just a matter of finding them

Yeh im a little skeptical on all these marketing tactics, im sure there are some that work, but it feels like the people that are getting rich are the ones selling the empty ideas. My last purchase was for something called Mobile Monopoly, and it had A LOT of holes, i didn't even up wasting the $50 bucks advertising after reading all the horror stories. Just goes to show you how careful you have to be...

Just Take Your Time and FOCUS ON WHAT YOU KNOW and try to build a business based off of it, and it should be something you enjoy writing about as well.

After you have your "niche" then grab some great traffic that will bring visitors 24hrs/7 days a week!

Yes team work is an essential part. Unfortunately most people doesn't do that. They are in only for the money and doesn't help their downline (if it's an affiliate program). The downline gets frustrated and doesn't believe in the system and goes to another one. Just to clarify, I am not aiming at you. It's just how it works many times. So to be successful you need to be supportive, helpful, honest, hardworking.

Personally I would find a reliable company, that has proven it's worth. I would never join a complete new company. They need to prove it's worth before I would join them.

The other thing is to stay focused. What I mean by this is that you need to invest your time and money into one thing. It can be a product or program, but only one. Grow that business.

Yeah man I hear you....everyone makes it sound easy around here..like you make make the thousands effortlessly.. it takes effort for this type of marketing but the truth is 85% to 90% of the people where want to make money off you because they know your helpless

meanwhile the people that know the REAL tricks, that could help or show you for free... keep their mouths shut.

I hate to come off so negative, maybe im reading stuff wrong or trusting the wrong people...but money is power and corrupts most people. Elite WF members feed off new members as you can see in the big ads above.

I'm a positive guy, I beleive in helping others bro. I just want some honest direction thats not a money grabber

    @RatRaceWatch
    @jonasgr

Listen guys we should honestly team up and work on a project together, that way we can we can actually learn how to do this legitely and build a successful business together since we are all in the same boat. If you guys see this, my Email is jb2010@live.ca

People often tend to over-complicate the simple stuff. To start the things off, just learn how to sell online and how to generate traffic.

    Hey Jesse,

I am pretty much new to IM as well. I have been researching and learning for quite some time but I am not making any big bucks.

I am taking action however. I have a couple websites up and running and I have received my first checks from Google. But I am still lost a lot of the time.

What I have learned is that buying ebooks is not going to help you. Purchasing courses will not help you. Chances are, if you have been around for a while then you probably already know what you need to do.

The hardest part is just doing it. Run with something. If you have time to invest then that is all you will need. I have purchased hundreds of dollars worth of books and courses and none of those helped. Sure I learned tips and tricks but I never felt like I knew everything.

The thing is, I don't think I will ever feel that way. Its just a matter of doing. My style of IM is building niche sites. It is what I have chose so I am sticking with it and chugging along. If a website fails, then its on to the next one.

Being successful isn't even about money, although $$$ is nice. Being successful is about not giving up, learning from your failures and moving ahead. You will always succeed that way.

Thats what im saying bro, most of the elite people on WF are snakes...they'll make cash off you for their ebooks and w/e claiming you can make $$$, but the only people making the dough is the elites off the weak.

I'm not bashing anyone in particular and again I don't mean it in a negative way but its the honest truth. it's all positivity

Your right... success isn't about money. Success is when you reach happiness in your life.

Yeah I agree with you about the elites. Although, that is just their style of internet marketing. Sure it sucks for you, but that's how they make a living. Honestly the first couple courses I bought were complete garbage (although i was so new i didn't know it at the time).

I am not mad at them though. They are just making money.

Is there any particular route you want to go in IM? I picked niche sites because I like building web pages and coding and stuff. Anything that interests you?

Thats good for you man, lots of money in building websites for people. if you plan on building websites for bigger companies, thats good $$$ right there.

I'm gonna try doing a niche in the video game industry, although It would actually have to be games/consoles for sale like ebgame or game stop rather then a simple ebook or guild. eventually have a website similar to Ign

i have tried building mini website that focus on a certain niche and i don't see a profit what so ever, And yes its overwhelming with so many routes and ways that you can utilize. I'm still searching and digging for the right thing. Any one knows if a Forum would be profitable or does it only depend on sponsors and ad sense.
