GoDaddy affiliate change

I was asked recently by a gentleman who has been helping me if I would nominate him as my affiliate for my GoDaddy account as a thank you for helping me. He is aware of some purchases I intend to to and has a rough idea of my existing domains that need renewing annually. I said ok, but now, later on thinking about it, it sounds all to hard. He says it is easy.

Does Godaddy allow that anyway?
As far as I know, Google Search would probably be my affiliate. I have no idea if I clicked through anyone.

Has anyone had a request like this before?

You need to apply to GD through cj.com to become a GD affiliate.

    He's right, actually.

All you need to do is ask him for his affiliate-link. And that way, whatever you buy from GoDaddy he'll earn a commission on it, without it costing you any more or involving you in any way other than accessing GoDaddy's site through his affiliate-link. An effortless way to credit him, really.

No; but I've often asked Warriors for their affiliate link to something I'm going to buy anyway (might as well give someone a commission out of it). When I originally bought my HostGator hosting, I just asked a Warrior whom I greatly respect for his affiliate link, clicked on it, and bought that way.

Be sure, first, that you do actually want to use GoDaddy (rather than, for example, NameCheap) to buy your domain-names. Many Warriors would (and regularly do) raise their eyebrows a little at this decision. I'm "just saying"!

Just so you know, there are other options to becoming a GoDaddy affiliate other than going through Commission Junction: Affiliate Program | Team Up With the World's Largest Registrar

The easiest is GoDaddy Direct which is available to all customers...
