Hey Guys, Steve Laurent Here..

Just thought of this Question and would love for you guys to share Your Stories.

How did you stumble upon internet marketing?

Let me tell you how I stumbled upon internet marketing.

3 years ago, I was browsing and suddenly ''click here to make $500.00 a day online'' caught my eye. It appeared to be an AD. Guess what i did? That one single click changed my life. Not that the product was good or anything, but besides the point, I never got to purchase the product, because I was broke. The page was so interesting that I began to research online looking for independent ways to make money online.

Well, to make a long story short. I am now Making a full time income online

Regardless what you've been told, The Only reason you may not be earning much money online is because you are too busy trying to Generate free traffic. Paid traffic is probably the best way to make money online.

Internet Marketing is my passion. It is what I do on a daily basis.

I was working for a company as a graphic artist and one day they asked me to submit some articles to directories. I did more research on article marketing and found out you could use it as a way to drive traffic and make money online so that's what I started to do. This was about 8 years ago and I have been working for myself every since.

    Just wanted to chip in...

I wanted to make lots of money online when I saw a guy selling "how to make money online" advice... I think it was the Rich Jerk or someone LOL.

Anyways, that idea did not work so I moved on to Plug in Profit site. I burned a lot of money there, then realized that SEO is the way to go.

I tested some stuff out and started my own company once I got the hang of things.

due to the recent financial mayhem that happened I needed to find ways of saving my company so I actually came to the Internet in search of customers but soon realized that I had to get good at Internet Marketing. At the time the situation was pretty bad and I couldn't afford outsourcing so I had no choice but to get deep into IM. No regrets though, I love it.

KFC never called me back to tell me when I was supposed to start work at 14. Eventually, my dad said he would pay me $200 to make him a website (for his company). I knew nothing, but after having made the website I continued reading up and realized you could earn money online. Been hooked ever since.

I had just had just been laid off and was looking for some supplemental income while I was looking for another job. I saw a job posting on Craigslist about making a second income. It turned out to be someone promoting a Q & A site that paid for each answer you gave. After doing some research on it, I ran across some affiliate marketing sites that caught my attention. They got me curious so I started researching affiliate marketing which eventually led me here. That is where I started.

    Actually, Internet Marketing found me.

Way back in 1997, I received an invitation in the mail to an online marketing "workshop" sponsored by the now defunct Galaxy Mall. I had had several bad experiences with MLM and was open to something different.

Anyway, I went and I actually learned quite a lot stuff. Of course, the "workshop" was a sales pitch for the company's web site creation/hosting products and services. And of course, I bought in.

However, it wasn't until about 2 years later that I actually began to put what I learned into practice. The rest is history as I've been hooked ever since.

i am not in the "how to make money online" niche, but i got into online marketing about 15 years ago as a high school student.

at the time is was looking for a credit card(boy was that a mistake). i saw a link that said something about partnering with them.

when i clicked it, the offer was for me to send them people who would simply fill out a credit card application and i would get $3.5 per completed application i think it was.

well as it worked out, i happened to know a lot of folks from school who indeed wanted (not need) credit cards.

i made a few dollars doing that, then got into the scam of pay to surf / read emails that was big 15 years ago.

been learning and trying new stuff every since, and loved every minute of it.

My foray into serious, legitimate internet marketing came after I read a post on reddit entitled "I pay for college with Adsense."

I started my first site soon after that.

I was getting really into mixed martial arts and decided that I wanted to make a blog for highlight videos. This was back in late 2009. So I started setting it up, decided I wanted to try to make money with it. I failed horribly, but then branched out into other stuff and was pretty successful. MMA is still my favorite niche (and the one I know most about) so most of my sites are centered around that or fitness.

It's not a huge niche, but the competition is low and I can write about the topic forever.

Actually I started finding interest in online gambling, such as Roulette.

After that I started to search more about other ways to earn money online, later on I found this forum and others as well. I'm glad I did.

Now looking for a passive income online.

I was working for an auto factory until it shut down. After that point I told myself I would never work for someone else again.

It's really difficult to put in a lot of work, miss quality time with my family because of production quotas, then before I knew it, I had my source of income taken from underneath me because of things I had no control over.

It's a feeling I never want to have again. And going the self-employed route means that if I fail it is because of me, if I succeed it is because of me.

At the same time, I always had a burning desire to build something great, whether it was a service or product. From there, naturally my best option was online.

And am I glad to this day that I no longer have to work for "the man" again. I love being online and my wife loves being on facebook :-)

I had just read my first Robert Kiyosaki book, and had check out his website for some bonus audios. I joined the forum there, and discovered a little bit about IM from one or two posters.

I started to come up with an idea for an ebook, and someone there mentioned the Warrior Forum so I came to check it out.

I got lucky. People always seem to say that they first got involved in IM through some shady marketers or scams. After I landed on the WF, I came across Dr. Mani-his material was a stellar introduction to IM. I also discovered that at the time the WF was a bonus to some paid products, and I didn't want to mooch so I bought Allen Says' "How To Become A Global Internet Tycoon". Between Allen and Dr. Mani, I was off to a good start.

I turned the internet on two years ago, and started looking for free ways to make money, cause I had none. I did surveys, wrote articles, and while commenting on other people's articles, I learned a lot about SEO and internet marketing, although I still have much to learn.

I've been involved with Network Marketing for about 8 years so I've always been looking for something other than the J.O.B. It was a add on facebook that I clicked that led me to the Niche Blitzkrieg website so I figured I'd check it out. Looked good to me, get to stay home and work on my business, cheap startup costs and if done right can turn to passive income. I was in!! that was only a couple of months ago so I haven't got to far along the journey yet, but I figure with the right work I should be able to do better than I did with the Network Marketing in 8 years.

I was a member on a paid forum in the self help niche and the site owner posted a PDF in the business section from the warrior forum that had tons of tips for marketing your website and business online. I used a few of the ideas in that PDF to help in my freelance business and then joined the WF to learn more. Later I cancelled my subscription to that forum after I realized that the content was mostly stolen and recycled.

I was browsing a popular forum (nothing to do with IM) when I found a thread about what people do for a living.

One guy posted that he makes 1000's a day on the internet. People laughed and told him he was BS'ing.

Anyway... the next day the guy puts up some screenshots of him surrounded by piles of cash, him driving an awesome car, him standing in front of his massive house, pictures of receipts where he'd just wasted obscene amounts of money on whatever he felt like.

They all turned out to be legit too. The guy was using PPC methods and wasn't trying to sell anything or promote anything on the forum. He just provided proof when people called him a liar.

Despite the boastful nature of the pics he was actually a really nice guy and very humble.

This was my first taste of IM and what caused me to look into it further.

At that stage I'd become disenchanted with my job and had never enjoyed the idea of a 'career' or working for someone else so I was already looking for other ways to make money and live a life that was catered to what I enjoy.

While I never came into this expecting to make anything like the amounts of money this guy was pulling in, it was exciting to see that someone could actually make a living online without trying to sell me something.

I was building and fixing computers years ago and then I found out my buddy was in the "marketing online" business. I listened to him and his friends speak all over the world on stag back then and quickly realized my buddy was one of the big IM (The Big Seminar) guru' I started to listen and watch VERY closely

Life hasn't been the same since.

    I think the same.

Last year Google Adwords suspended my account without reason. Facebook is not good for me.

Do you know any other good PPC Ads company ?

Never thought of making money on the internet, but accidentally found that it might be possible. So I started experimenting and (to my biggest surprise) finally made my first money online. It was 13 long (or short?) years ago.

I hired someone to create my first "big idea" for me and realized quickly that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself... I spent a lot of money on my first site with no return on investment.

So for a few years after, i spent all my free time learning every part of owning and operating an online business... I now earn a full time income online and I do 95% of the work myself... I host, design, optimize and market....

Years ago I stumbled upon a MLM program with all the bells and whistles about how you could earn lost of money joining them. I lost my $10 joining fee and a some months of my time until I realized that the only one profiting was the owner of the program, but that fail was the BEST investment I've ever made.
