One of my older blogs (you can see the photography link below) has around 1200 subscribers or so according to Feedburner.
I'm not sure if I should invest on aweber or similar services since:
1) I don't have a product to sell
2) I don't promote any affiliate products yet other than in-post contextual amazon links in product review posts.
3) That site isn't making much from Adsense as it wasn't optimized for monetization from the start, we're talking about $40/mo range only.
Should I wait until I actually have a product to pitch (or a consistently updated newsletter) before investing in such a service?
I feel like I'm not taking advantage of having a loyal group of followers' email even if I have no intention to spam or sell them anything yet.
Should one subscribe to those services only when you've reached a certain amount of followers?
Also, can you guys help me understand why most blogs I see have email subscription via aweber AND have feedburner email rss update subscription as well? Isn't that counter-productive?
