Would like a little advice on who should pay the Escrow fees for an auction on Flippa? The buyer, seller or split? What is the norm? Especially when the listing does not specifically state so ...

As a seller, I usually pay all the fees as I think it encourages more bidders. As a buyer though, I have split the fees before, but anymore I think the seller paying the fees is probably the norm. Either way though, just do what your comfortable with.

From the websites I've sold, we split the fee. It's really up to you though, but I think a split is fair...

I normally split the fees if I think the auction will go for under $100. Otherwise I, the seller will pay the fees. I think this will more than cover the extra bidding profit you'll get if you are the seller.

      Hope this helps.

You should disclose in the auction what you want to do with the fees.

I tend to deal with sites that are $20k+ so generally the fee itself isn't really that much of an issue.

Splitting it is usually the accepted way to go, but I've never once had a problem with who pays them/who doesn't.

On the sites I've sold using Escrow I've always paid the fees. I think it shows more legitimacy from the start and gives more confidence to potential buyers.
