30 million searches a month

Hello one and all,
This is my first post on Warrior forum, so it is possible that I am posting this in totally the wrong section, if so please advise.

Earlier this year I purchased a domain name - the2012.com- and am currently building it as a content site concerning Nostradamus, The Maya and End of World prophesies.

The reason I bought the site was because 'The 2012' was receiving 500,000 searches a month. I now find that it is now receiving over 30 million searches a month.

Which brings me to my queries: as I am a comparative newcomer to internet marketing, would I be better off just trying to sell the domain name and if so what would be the best way of going about it and maybe some suggestions of value?

Secondly: if I carry on and develop the website, what would my fellow Warrior members suggest was a good method to monetize it?

warm regards,
myke

Your 30 million is in broad match, which means very little. In exact match it gets less than 200 per month.

I think there is a movie out by that name, so that is why people are searching for it, I think.

I for one am interested in your subject matter. I am sure the search volume will rise as we get closer to December 2012. But then it will be all over after December, I guess.

You would have a much better chance of selling it if you had a blog or webpage about that topic, and it was making some money.

As far as monetizing it, What are some products that came out this year that were very popular. You cold also do current events with adsense around those stories. You might use that site to report on trends that you find at Google trends. Then you could put adsense around those
