Got Some Free Adwords Money...

Hey my friend's dad recently gave us a $250 Adwords coupon.

We have a small online business and plan to use it to set up a little Adwords campaign. The coupon expires at the end of January.

I understand that Adwords is a highly competitive marketing tool and can be really difficult and time-consuming to master. I am not interested in "mastering" it because I do not plan to use it at all after the coupon money runs out. I am more interested in organic SEO traffic, and would rather divert my time and money into that.

However...

I do want to use this Adwords money to set up a little campaign that will drive some traffic to our site this month.

That being said, can anyone direct me to any simple Adwords advice for our campaign? I've read articles and watched videos in the past that have gotten way too involved for what I would like to do at the time.

If you were me, what kind of campaigns would you set up with this free money?

    Hi Tim,

    Jason Pearson teaches adwords in a simple, straightforward way, but his course is not cheap and covers a lot more than adwords.

    You may want to check out Perry Marshall's "Definitive Guide To Adwords". It' around $50 and he is known as the adwords guru. I've read it and it is pretty good and not too technical.

    I closed out my Adwords account because Google beat up my wallet.

    Now, I rely on Free Traffic and web 2.0 techniques.
