how much are you making per month?

Hey, I'm Tommy,

I'd just like to know how much money people are making with a list of 40k+ or so..

I'm new here so just like to hear some figures.

Thanks
Tommy

This is an interesting topic. One of my Internet Marketing guru friends once boasted that he had a monthly income of $15k per month. He also shared on the inner workings of some so-called gurus, who fabricate evidence of sales, and sold on misrepresentation. Eventually, many people bought the expensive information products which they created, and what was initially falsehoods became the truth. I will love to hear comments on this thread.

An often-quoted figure is about $1 per subscriber per month.

    HOWEVER...

    It depends on your niche.

It depends on how you built your list.

It depends on what the subscribers expect.

It depends on whether the list is composed of buyers, real prospects or freebie seekers.

It depends on how good you are at building trust.

It depends on your offer (right time, right offer, right price, right audience).

It depends on how targeted your list is.

It depends on your copywriting skills.

It depends on your deliverability rate.

It depends on whether your subscribers gave you real addresses or throwaway addresses.

It depends on how often you contact your list.

It depends on if your list is "cold" or "warm" or "hot".

... and it depends on other factors, too.

So, it's really hard for anyone here to give you an idea of how much money you can make from your list. There are simply too many factors involved.

im only just starting out in I-M so can only dream of having a 40k list the moment,

what i can say is, the coaching program i have joined, mentioned this $1 per subscriber during my training, and as nice as it would be to get that i dont think it happens too often.

i get the impression from what i have learnt so far, that it is extremely difficult, to put an exact figure, that being said with a list of 40k i would expect you could get a few hundred per month (worst case).

The ideal amount that people say you will average per lead in your list is $1. I, however, average about $2.75 per person!

I guess it all depends on if you have established that trust with your list, how enticing you are, how much value you provide them, and EVERYTHING that was said 2 posts above this!

My earnings were not so high per month but its between 500 to 1000$ per month via outsourcing sites like odesk and freelancer.com. And there were some more earning from other little jobs.

    Hi Tommy,

    As others have hinted at...

The real question is what do you mean by "40k+"?

Do you mean 40,000 highly-targeted, niche-specific, money-spending people that you have taken the time to build a relationship with kind of list?

    Or...

Do you mean a revolving door, bring-them-in-and-spit-them-out, I-don't care-how-I-get-them, send-them-every-offer-I-can-find kind of list?

Also, I was wondering if you were asking to see if it's even worth it to build a list or not? That's the thing with money, it's subjective. So, if you hear you can "only" make $5,000 per month with a list of 40k+ people, would it still be worth it? What if it was "only" $2,000? $50,000? $225,000?

The problem is that your pre-conceived cut-off point (the point where you don't think the effort would be worth it) will hardly ever match the reality anyway. Furthermore, you will never know how much YOU can personally earn until you start building your list.

In other words, it may seem like a good idea to ask others how much they are making, but in the long run, it doesn't really matter, and it really doesn't help you to succeed.

    All the best,
    Michael
