INTERNET MARKETING

Hello all,

I know you will get a lot of these questions, but I hope there are people here who can help me little bit.

Im a newbe here on this forum. I do have interest to have my own blogs and to do the marketing myself, and make money with them.

I have read a lot of posts the last days .. but at this moment I do not know where to start....

I have already my first blog ready ( at least I think it is ready). I have some posts on that one, adsense and some affiliate links (with images).

Now I want to get traffic to my site.

I do read about programs that you all use etc, but what is a good way to start ... and also maybe tips whats not good to do...

I want to learn my self all these things in stead of hiring somebody to do it for me, because I like to learn.

Sounds like your ready to camp out in the SEO section for a while:
Adsense / PPC / SEO Discussion Forum
Just don't go crasy with inlinks until the domain accumulates some age, some courses suggest starting with a few as 1 link a day at first (seems a bit low), it's a plus to mix your link sources, the anchor texts as well as throwing in some naked (no anchor) links with nofollow just to maintain a natural looking diversity, try to get a similar number of new links each week.
If your blog comments are actually helpful additions to the conversation the blog owner might start recognizing your name, setting you up to write a guest post down the line, the embedded backlink in such a post should be more valuable than a comment.

Hi

here's a post I made in another thread, it might help you

here's a simple plan

1. start a blog or a website about something you love, let's say Manchester United maybe.

2. place google adsense above the fold, and blend it with your website very well, let the background color be the same as your website background color and the links be the same as well..

3. go to search.twitter.com and type in your website's keywords, for our example here is "Manchester United"

see who is talking about Manchester United and start a conversation with them..
talk to new people everyday, it only takes 1 or 2 replies to let them want to know more about you & visit your website

and if you have good CTR you will make more than $10 a day just by talking to new people everyday!

I think SEO is what you need to look at. It is one of the best ways to get free traffic to your website.

Yep, if you are looking for some free traffic go bury yourself in SEO section of this forum. There is tons of info there. You can also find relevant forums that allow you to put a link in your signature and start posting there. Facebook, Twitter, article marketing, there are tons of ways to get traffic. Pick something that sounds like it fits you and focus on that.

also make sure your on page seo is all set. just doing that and then building a few backlinks can really move you up in the organics. just do a search for on page seo to get you started. its free and its permanent

Some things not to do, invest in traffic that violates adsense TOS. You will get slapped when you least expect it. Do not get into Black Hat SEO. Do not waste time buying every WSO promising instant results.

Instead invest time and effort learning like others have posted. If you want to purchase anything. Consider an investment in the War Room.

I assume your site is live at the moment. Why dont you tell us a bit more about the niche you are in and maybe even give us a link to the domain. That way it'll be way easier to give marketing advice.

With out that here's some general tips:

1. Figure out if you want to sell the site or just earn some bucks in adsense. Its always good to know your end goal when you start the site.
2. Learn about On page SEO and Keyword research.
3. Find some forums relating to your niche and go post in them giving helpful advice to establish yourself as an expert.
4. Consider posting some articles as videos. Animoto is a good place to start here.
5. Find other bloggers in your niche and connect with them. Try to get one of them to guest post on your blog. Failing that shoot them an interview email and post it on your blog.

There you go that should spin your head a bit and its just the tip of the iceberg!

  I have bought the blog content from Verena, so now I need to do the rest myself, thats not a problem .. but I just need to know where to start so thats why I asked my question here.

  I think it would be helpful if you get the help of some bloggers by blogging to their site and promoting your site. This can be a huge help aside from SEO techniques.
