Kindle question - how many pages?

Hi,

I want to start putting ebooks up on Amazon's Kindle.

I've read some wso's on this topic. But I'm stumped on how many
pages a Kindle book should be.

And important too, since I'd like to outsource some writing, how many
words are on a Kindle page?

I have seen 20 to 40 pages mentioned. Should I figure 250 words per
page?

I'd appreciate some information from those working on Kindle now.

    As far as Kindle or any other electronic publishing goes, you need to think in terms of word count, not pages. The number of pages for these types of books is determined by the user. So if they change to a small font, the page count will decrease - and if they pick a large font, the page count will go up.

    There are no hard and fast rule to the number of words needed to make a book. For an info book, what you would see for a regular pdf type ebook is probably acceptable. That can range from just a few pages, to quite a lot!

    The essential thing is to include all the information that the buyer will need. When you've done that, the book is finished!
