How to find HOT products to promote.

One of the hardest parts of IM when I first started out was finding a product that people were actually searching for to promote. It sounds easy but you need to get it right before you put in all the effort of promoting.

I just thought I would start a thread for warriors to list resources they are currently using to find IN DEMAND products to promote.

I'll kick it off with......

FREE Keywords for Google AdWords, Yahoo!/Overture, MSN Keywords, Ask Jeeves Sponsored Listings, etc.

It gives you the most popular keywords for the last 48 hours and the last 90 days.

Anyone else?

Mark

Those are great threads on Niche and Keyword research. My bookmarks are getting long.

    Great information.

I find that using Google Trends, Google Insight, Google's Free Keword Tool, and a basic Google search, can tell you a lot, especially since Google now puts related searches, shoppers searches, and news searches, right in the results now. Google pretty much tells us what people are searching for.

"find a need and fill it and the world will beat a path to your door"... some famous person

Seems to me that academia has it all backwards. It's not Supply and Demand...

    It's DEMAND and Then Supply.

If you can isolate ANY problem that people have, en-mass, an audience if you will (and it doesn't have to be that big), then you can develop a product and it will sell.

All you have to do is think of the problems YOU have or your friends have. Look in magazines and look at the ads that solve problems that people have.

Find a need and fill it.

Exactly, find a group of people with a problem and offer them a solution. Examples would be weight loss, acne, make money, flat abs, diabetes etc.

Go to Clickbank and spend time researching the top selling products and that should supply anyone with many good niche ideas.

      Good Luck,

ThalesMM "Ok, once you have the starving crowd, what's next? PPC?"

It doesn't have to be PPC and I wouldn't recommend PPC to anyone new. PPC is a skill or an expertise that's learned over time. Studying it is a great idea but start with something simpler and cheaper first. There's hundreds of methods on this forum. Look around

      Good Luck,
