    Well dings, As most in here will tell you the first thing is to make a plan as where you want to be in a few years.
    Then decide what you think would be the easiest way that you can do it.
    If you have any certain talent then start with that. Grab a few WSO's and get started never looking back.

    Hope that helps a little.

    Try to start a blog on sports and share your knowledge but you could also promote affilite products through affiliate sites.

    The sensible options are:-

    (i) Places like Weebly, Yola and Blinkweb, where you can get free hosting for a site or two and use their free, built-in site-builder to make the sites, and after you make some money you can choose to upgrade to their paid hosting, if you want to, without needing to move your site;

    (ii) Free hosting of the kind offered at Free Hosting, Paid Hosting, Reseller Services & VPS Servers : Byet Internet (where you can host any sort of site you want, including a self-hosted Wordpress blog, but you need a domain-name - which is a really good thing to have anyway - and they start at $1). And after you make some money you can choose to upgrade to their paid hosting, if you want to, without needing to move your site.

    The things to avoid are:-

    (i) Wordpress.com (hosting provided but no monetisation of any kind allowed);

    (ii) Blogger.com and Squidoo.com and other places with very restrictive terms of service, where you don't and can't ever own the site, and they can just delete it if they don't like what you're using it for (i.e. no security there). Many Warriors have made their primary sites there and regretted it very much later.

    My advice would be to get your own hosting and domain name for $20... you can make that back in a day with some article writing or even just selling something off!

    Don't be frugal on basic stuff like this.

    Yes - start with something where you have skill, knowledge and interest and then look at the top sites in your area of interest, look closely at how they are both generating content and the business model they use.

    For example, do they draw you to their site and then promote a product such as:

    1. A membership site they may have
    2. An information or digital product like an ebook, report or course -- and if so, is it their own or an affiliate product?
    3. Do they ptomote CPA offers, if so, which ones?
    4. Is their main business model advertising - do they simply run ads on their blog for example?

    Study the top sites and see what is working. Sign up for their lists, and watch how (and what) they market to you.

    This way you can shorten your curve of finding out what works.

    A blog about something you are good at or know well would be a great way to start. Once you've built up a following you can look into promoting offers on that page. Good luck.
