How To Find If There's Money In A Niche

Hi,

I've been searching for my first niche, but I'm a little stuck on the last bit. I've done the keyword research and website studying to figure out where the people are, but I'm trying to figure out whether people are spending money in the niche.

Does anyone know how to find out whether people are spending a decent amount of money in the niche?

A good way to see if money is being spent is to type your keywords in and see if there are sponsored links there. I usually do this and then click on the sponsored links to see what they are selling.

If they are selling something then it usually means money is being spent. If you are promoting a clickbank product for example, you could also look at the gravity of the product. If that is high then people are promoting and selling!

    Debbie,

One of the fastest ways to do this is to type your keywords into a Google search and pay attention to how many advertisers are paying for Adwords for those keywords.

Pay special attention to the website names used for landing pages. If you see the keywords contained in the domain name then you can bet someone believes there is money to be made in that niche.

A dead giveaway to a dormant or unproductive keyphrase is when you see dynamically generated ads from the big webshops. They pay almost nothing for those positions, so you know there is not a lot of harvestable money with those keywords.
