Quick Help Needed: Best Wordpress Membership Plugin?

Hello fellow warriorforum members,

I am building an iPhone app for my wordpress blog and I really need to integrate the concept of "user accounts".

I have heard in the past that there are good membership plugins for wordpress, but what would you guys recommend?

Free or paid, I don't mind.

      But actually, I'm not sure why the OP is sold on user accounts. I would think a lot more could be done with some list building like Aweber.

      Then again, I don't fully understand the goal or necessity of users having the user accounts.

      Is this to give a download area for users? Or does it have something to do specifically with the app you are creating? :confused:
