WSO - Without Special Optics - I Don't Get It!

Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with the WSO I'm referring too. I'm not an affiliate nor am I any backend partner or JV. This is just my opinion.

I just completed reading an entire thread in the WSO forum with an astonishing number of individual post in it , just a few minutes ago. Frankly, that amazed me. You talk about social proof, holy cow.

What became apparent, as I read through the thread, was the number of folks who did not take the time to read and comprehend the original WSO sales letter. And let me tell you it wasn't a sales page with a "Slash/Grab Money/Hyped up sales letter. It couldn't have been made any clearer, IMO. I say that because I read it twice and got it. And trust me I'm not the brightest light bulb in the WF. :p

The 2nd thing that stood out was the number of folks who did not take the time to read the answers to someone else's questions. The same questions repeated time and time again. There was a phenomenal amount of patience shown by the team responding in the thread, to PM's and support desk questions. Even though there were times when the questions being asked were on the "rude" side and bordering on downright "accusatory" or asking the creators of the original WSO, proprietary questions.

What an absolute fantastic lesson in Customer Support. Way to go you guys.

Without Special Optics these folks just can't seem to get it. I honestly believe these folks aren't stupid, by any means. They just think they have the right to have the seller do everything for them. Including how to think out of the box. Once again, IMO.

Questions are good and you should ask them, but thinking for yourself will do more for you to make money than anything else. In other words take a little time to read what the others are saying and then outline your own strategy. You will be amazed what this one little thing will do for you.

What's in it for you if you read the whole thread? Oh my lord, there is so much there is no way I can cover it but here are just a few:
  1. Spotting a new income stream.
  2. Simple way to dip your toes into the IM field if your just starting out.
  3. Ranking your site/blog.
  4. Adapting your marketing plan to include multiply steams of income on one page.
  5. Start a new service or kick your service up another notch.
Let me sum this up this way, there are so many things you can pick up on in threads like this. I just could not believe the number of ideas that jumped out at me, but best of all I was able to take action on 2 of them right away. And frankly I have no doubt some of my competitors had the same thing jump out at them and if they didn't I Aint Telling :p.

Put your thinking cap on, when your looking at WSO's. You are missing an opportunity if your not. As the OP and his team kept saying over and over - Think Out Of The Box and get out of your comfort zone.

Great post! With all our technology today, people like to be spoon fed information. No, they're certainly not stupid -- They just don't like to think for themselves or read through information to get the facts. But, this does lend laziness to our minds and many missed opportunities. At such a state, we fail to garner the valuable asset of information set before us to learn and spark creative ideas.

I'm not sure if it is the same WSO, but there is one that I have been following because I purchased the product and I have the same thoughts as you.

In the thread many of us have posted several different ways you could use the product, yet people come in and complain they have no clue how to use it. And it's not something obscure either, I mean I didn't even read the whole sales letter and could think up a bunch of ways to put it to use.

The people running the WSO have literally bent over backwards to answer questions and accommodate they buyers even to the point of adding a ton of functionality (with no additional cost) even though many of the comments were rude and uncalled for. I agree with you that the whole thread should be made into a lesson of how to provide outstanding customer support and over-deliver.

Questions are good and you should ask them, but thinking for yourself will do more for you to make money than anything else. In other words take a little time to read what the others are saying and then outline your own strategy. You will be amazed what this one little thing will do for you.
This is so true, but so many people just expect things handed to them and cannot think for themselves. I was just this morning telling someone that it was too bad there wasnt a coaching program on how to think for yourself because without being able to do this your chances of running your own business are severely handicapped.

Think about what we're used to though.

Information travels CRAZY fast these days. We drive fast. We want fast food. We want quick results for EVERYTHING.

Thats why most people don't think about different ways they can use a WSO (I've been guilty of this too of course). It's easier to say "oh thats a cool idea" and move on to the next bright shiny object.

Which sounds sexier? That you found a golden WSO that will make you $1,000s your first day? or that you spent 3 months ranking a website to get that kind of money?

I've heard a marketer recently calling it the herd mentality- the herd of IMers is just trying to make tons of money quick. That's why the WSO section is a goldmine right now- sell to the herd!

Let's not turn this into an advertising thread for any specific WSO. That isn't fair to all the other WSO sellers.

Remember when it wasn't fair to point out the WSOs that sucked?

Now it's not fair to point out the WSOs that don't suck.

It's never fair to single out the minority, you know.

This is the reason why it is absolutely imperative that the WSO sellar provides top notch customer service and after sales support - Nobody wants their customers running around like headless chickens after buying a WSO - and remain clueless and have to beg the OP for further instructions..

    Justin,

That is the very point, I'm trying to get folks to think about. Thinking Out of The Box is not following the herd mentality. Use the WSO's for generating new ideas and skills for your own business.

Let's force our selves to get away from the "Shiny Object" syndrome and examine, in depth, "what can this do for me". When you hit a point of where you have exhausted "thinking out of the box" ask someone else to take a look at your thoughts. In fact you can come right back in the WF and get folks to expand on your line of thinking.

Yeah it's really funny seeing people post the same questions over and over again! Maybe I am just crazy, but I ALWAYS read the entire thread before ever buying a WSO.

I like hearing this, I been creating an ebook due to high demand of requests and refuse to market getting rich quick. I don't want to appeal to those people I want to tell everyone the cold hard truth, but it still can be done. I am excited to post a WSO and offer the same kind of service, it's a good kind of busy I am sure

This is typical of every single sales thread I have launched. Questions being asked that are spelled out clearly in the sales letter, HUGE link to instruction manual and then the inevitable email saying the download didn't include the instruction manual, questions about resell rights when it says NO RESELL RIGHTS in real big letters, you name it.

Same questions asked and answered by numerous people.

Many people are too lazy to read. I've had them download one of my ebooks and then proceed to ask me questions that are all COVERED in the ebook.

I really think these people who are too lazy to read are really too lazy to succeed. They want everything handed to them on a silver platter and that's just not the way running a successful business works.

I know what you mean Suzanna, after writing pages for a few friends and comprehensively making offers CLEAR AS DAY, people still kept asking the same questions over and over again.

... I would've blown up at a few people, honestly... I don't know how these guys do it

Valuable lesson to be learned in customer service I guess.

I could not agree more, you can't succeed with any business, online or offline, when your lazy. Unless you have the money to hire someone that isn't lazy to do it for you. LOL!

Many new folks just believe there should be no work involved, even if you tell them there is work involved. Even then they blame the OP for making it too hard for them.

However many of us have been around awhile and lo and behold what do we do? We don't read, but most of all we don't think about what we have read. And still wonder why it isn't working for us.

    Think! Think!
