Hi all,

I've been here a couple of months, reading and not taking much action. Guess its time to get started so below are what i am still confused of.

I am going to write as of my understanding, so please slap me back on track if i get anything wrong below.

Here goes:

[1] Squeeze page(by affiliate)-> Blog post on product(by affiliate) -> sales page(by vendor). Did i miss out anything in between/get anything wrong?

[2] As squeeze page's purpose is to capture potential customer's information, Does that means that i do not promote my affiliate product on squeeze page? Does it work just as good if the blog post & squeeze page are combined?

[3] Does it dilute my ranking in terms of SEO if i were to use free blogs? For example: mykeyword.blogspot dotcom vs mykeyword dotcom. Do Google sees them as the same?

[4] I noticed a lot of ebook products have photos such as books/VCD as display pictures. They are not really written as books aren't they? Or are these just images you can get from fiverr?

Here's all i can think of now. Will add more questions if they strike me.

Addon question:
[5] Now that the first site a visitor visits will be my squeeze page, i have heard that squeeze page are hard to rank in search engine due to lack of content.
Does that means that i will also provide link to the squeeze page instead of blog post when i am doing backlinking?

Thanks to all!

    1. Make your own squeezepage. Most people give away free gifts in order to get people to opt-in to their List.

    2. The only purpose of your squeezepage is to get people to give you their name, email, and maybe their phone number or whatever. There is absolutely no other reason for it and nothing else should be on the page.

    3. Not sure about SEO as I haven't done much of it... That might be why no search engine has never bought anything from me, and only real people have purchased things from me? In which case keyword.com is better than keyword.blogspot.com and you can get it for only about $10 at NameCheap.com

    4. Personally I have many doubts about Fiverr and the rights that people have to the things they sell... You would be better served to use public domain artwork or purchase a quality set of graphics, which you can find at very low prices, probably even some free ones with a Google search.

When the questions strike you, ask away.

Sounds good to me, but what you MIGHT want to do is also add a one time offer after they opt in for your squeeze page

When people opt-in they get an offer, i get usually 1 a week or so that purchase that

I still need to do a down sell from $25.00 to $12.99, but I haven't got around to that yet - lol

You're on the right track, newbie

You missed out optional stuff that some people do in addition, but you got the basics right.

    You can do either.

A semantic point, but if you include "other stuff" on it, then it isn't a "squeeze page" per se ... it might be an "information page with an opt-in", or whatever, but a squeeze page is, by definition, a page with a prominently incentivised opt-in and no other content.

Personally, I don't use squeeze pages because after split-testing them in 4 of my niches, I found that although I built bigger lists with squeeze pages, I made more money without them. This varies, and you just have to test it for yourself. I do better having my prominently inventivised opt-in not on a squeeze page but on a content-filled website. Different people opt in, that way. And for me, those different people are "fewer but better".

The easy mistake is to assume that building a bigger list is necessarily going to lead to more long-term income.

I tested that in four niches and found the opposite was so, in all four. For me.

    It doesn't matter.

Please excuse the tongue-in-cheek observation that this is just a bad question! :p

You don't own a Blogspot page, and it isn't secure, and you can find it disappears in the night.

Domain-names cost from $1 and self-hosting's available free. There's just no upside to using Blogspot at all, and it's extremely ill-advised, as many here have found out to their cost and consternation.

All you need to do is read this thread and this thread slowly and carefully enough, and you'll never need to ask this question again.

From there and from various other places.

They're a bit misleading, aren't they, those "physical cover-shots", when all you're selling is a PDF?! :p

    Hi Story,

These types of images are usually made with a template in photoshop. You can probably get a standard image to be made to look like a PDF on fiverr. There are probably some WSO's selling templates like these too but you would also need to know how to use photoshop.

Good luck with your IM endeavors.

Thanks to all for the insight & info.
So improvement that i can do is:

Squeeze page + free gift(by affiliate) -> Thank you post-> Blog post on product(by affiliate) -> sales page(by vendor)

This leads me to my next question:
[5] Now that the first site a visitor visits will be my squeeze page, i have heard that squeeze page are hard to rank in search engine due to lack of content.
Does that means that i will also provide link to the squeeze page instead of blog post when i am doing backlinking?

Remember when you give away a free gift, you have to have a reason WHY.

People are tired of giving away their email addresses. The term "Free" online isn't as powerful as it used to be.

So for example, you can say you're giving away this free report because you're going to sell it next month but want feedback/testimonials first.

    Story,

You may want to develop a flagship blog where you can post relevant articles on the subject of your squeeze page, then drive traffic from the blog to the squeeze page. The point of a squeeze page is to add potential buyers to your list. Providing an incentive to people who opt-in to your list is a good way to go. You can do a multi-email newsletter where you provide good free information, or a free PDF report on the subject matter or even some audios or videos. Anything to get the potential customer on your list so that you can market to them later. Remember that once you get them on your list, you need to develop a relationship with them via your autoresponder series by providing useful, relevant information. If not, they will eventually just unsubscribe.

    Good luck!
