Newbie with a powerful money making product

Today I was asked one interesting question. A total newbie asked me: "What if I manage to create a product like Chronic Commission, a product like Commission domination.. Will I, as an unknown person, have chances to make a lot of money like those guys that are well known and make millions with those products."


Well, I think I know what the answer is but I wanted to ask and share this with you. The question sounds interesting, especially for newbies.

      Do they have the backup, direct experience and the hard cash for a successful launch?
  • Good product doesn't mean good marketing particularly in this hit-based industry.

    The success of a launch is as much about who you are and who you know than the product you've produced.

    • The most important part of every business is promotion, if you will have the best product in the world and you will not be able to get it among people. You will not make even a dime.

      If the person who made this product will be patient enough, will put as much as he/her can to spread this among people. It doesn't matter whether you are in business for years or you started a month ago.

  • I think anything is possible with the right strategy and dedication.
  • Of course its possible, but likely? Not really.

    Here are a few things that go into a launch:

    -Time spent developing the product
    -KILLER copywriting (very expensive)
    -Recruiting super affiliates (who won't promote unless it converts well)

    These take a lot of time and money. As a newbie, you might have the time but probably not the money

    Course you could try a big JV with 2-3 other marketers...

    You'll need some well known JV's if you want to pull it off... not to mention a copywriter. As for the software, are you going to deliver on your promises of instant money or not?

    Yes, you could make it, but those stupid products actually do have quite some effort put into creating buzz before they even launch.

    I haven't been through PLF, but if you're serious about a "guru style" launch then it might be worth checking out. I believe Vin Montello and his students also run a service called "launch mob" who can do this stuff for you.

    You'll have to contact him about specifics though.

    • If a newbie has enough money to pay for everything needed, then there is still a big problem I think. Would those super-affiliates want to promote the product from an unknown guy, even if the product really is a good one and can easily compare with all the big launches we are facing with almost every single day.
