Please Rate My Squeeze Page on a Scale of 1 to 10

Hello,

I am a Facebook fanpage developer and I would like some feedback on this Facebook-based landing page I just designed. Any constructive criticism would be welcome. I really think Facebook is a great "gateway" to send people through before they go to a website.

Please rate 1-10 (10 highest). Thanks.

Honestly - It took like ten seconds to load, then I nearly jumped out of my skin as the auto-play half scared me with the "Hi i'm...."

(Personally) i'm not a fan of auto-play videos as I find them annoying. But that's just my view on auto play.

Thanks for the note. I might try to reduce the size of the app so that it loads faster.

I thought it looked pretty good Sal. I would say that the art on the fb page and landing website lack a little bit of 'crispness' that would really make this stand out...BUT, i have to commend your ingenuity, this seems like a pretty well-thought-out plan. So I'll give you a 7.5. Good luck!

I have the same opinion about auto-play videos or audio, but I guess we might be in the minority because a lot of squeeze pages use it.

To the OP: The squeeze page looks great. the only issue I have is the autoplay. Have you tested it with text and maybe a video where users can select the play button?

Hahahaha I lol'd. Thanks for that!

To OP I wouldn't completely remove the audio, nor would I put everything she said into text. I would simply put a play button onto the audio and add text that gives people a reason to press play. Ex. "Click PLAY to find out how I got all these groceries for free" Or something like that. I find that when things are given away in text it makes it less believable to me. So I wouldn't copy the whole thing in text. I'm more likely to believe it when I hear it coming from somebodies mouth.

I don't mind the autoplay, it really got my attention. I think it will annoy veteran marketers and that is what you may be seeing, and I possibly attribute some of the comments to this. What really struck me was the yellow hi-lighting of the text you wanted to bring to the viewer's attention. In my opinion it is distracting at best, and was a turn off for me. Maybe bold text, underlined, in a different color? Good luck!

I didn't have the sound on when I visited your page.

I really liked the look of it. If there is some way you can speed up the loading process, that would be great. I was looking at a blank screen for a little too long. Would have clicked away before I got the message.

    Good luck with it.

Thanks for the remarks. I designed this with a flash .swf file and I might need to redo it so it loads faster.

Maybe it's because I'm a man and I'm not a responsible shopper so I clicked off after five seconds; however, the page and presentation did load almost immediately for me.

Your squeeze page perhaps can be scaled from 1 to 10, but the real measure is if your page actually calls somebody to action and they act. I did not act.

Therefore, for me, the page was not effective.

I do think that if your core/targeted audience is being exposed to this, you'll get a lot of interested prospects that will take up your call to action. So in that sense, you should have something quite effective here!

    No to bad.

When we have a squeeze page, we do 3 versions of it, and send targeted traffic there.

Squeeze pages are so important because its the number one way to get a bigger list. And that is what you want in your niche.

You need to test 3 versions of it, one will ALMOST ALWAYS outpull the others in conversion! Then all you do is use that one. Testing is important here, so get to work and keep testing you will see some great results.

    Good luck.

I don't really mind the autoplay ... since I DID just click a link on a marketing forum, but at that volume my knee-jerk reaction is not to turn down my volumn but to kill the page ... is that what you want?

    Thinks to consider
    1. I like the graphic - pic and text are strong
    2. Facebook and standard internet marketing tricks may not match - we are trained on WF to do semi-spammy squeeze pages with big headlines and get rich quick ideas - but FB may need a bit more sophistication and "truthiness" if you get my drift
    3. autoplay is badnews in my opinion. I HATE when I am somewhere public and my computer starts "speaking" without my permission. or when you are in a place that you need to be quiet. TURNOFF!!!

6 would be my grade. It's nice BUT you need more flair to it and MOST importantly you need a call to action that is always there. I don't really want to keep listening to the audio and not know what's next... You know what I mean?... The video plays, I don't see any time line (so I dunno when's it gonna stop) and while I wonder about that I see no call to action.

PLUS video sau 198.33 while the text next to the like button says 198.51... where's that bill?...

    Hope it helps!

also, keep in mind the HIDE factor. IT IS HUGE!!!!

everyone is on this LIKE bandwagon, but HIDE is worse than UNSUBSCRIBE.

    1. People rely on their stream. Most streams are for personal updates.
    2. not all pages land in the stream. a person has to take an action to make it appear
    3. "junk" in the stream gets hidden. if the page doesn't provide USEFUL information then it becomes wasted stream space and gets hidden and effectively gone forever.

so - if you want them to do something, then get them right away.
