Traffic Dropped 1000 per month since January

Traffic Dropped 1000 per month since January now today I notice that my main keywords have dropped to page 18. My traffic is haalf what it was in January and sales are worse than half.

My traffic from ezine is 25% what it once was.

My main web site is business site , just order forms, there's no way to really add new content to it.

What's the solution? Articles don't seem to help at all now. should I add more blog comments, profile links? What's working these days?

eZine and other article directories have taken a brutal hit on traffic as a result of Panda and subsequent algorithm updates. If you relied heavily on traffic from them, that could account for your drop in traffic.

Your rankings, if you had good ones, could also be a result of those same updates. Linkbuilders are facing harder times when employing article marketing as a linkbuilding method.

You'll need to think outside the box in ways to receive traffic. Are there ways to turn your smaller site into a larger one and attempt to regain those rankings that the articles you had on the article websites once had? In other words, build out a blog or larger site with your same forms at the top/bottom of those articles?

Hahahaha! I see you got that "Catch a Cheater" offer a while back. I've got that, too. Anyways, regarding your traffic: sounds like you have been effected by Google's Panda update -- it seems likely if your pages are now drowning on page 18 of search results and thus you've experienced significant losses regarding traffic.

Whatever it was that you were doing BEFORE, won't work now. The solution? I KNOW more blog comments aren't going to help -- Google doesn't reward "low quality" links anymore. And any traffic from this would be negligible anyhow.

There's several ways to get temporary traffic to your sites, but in the long run, based on experience, the best traffic is always organic (least work). That means people are going to have to find you easily via search engines.

No I didn't get any Catch a Cheater offer, that's my search that I invented. Not sure what offer you're talking about.

I am getting some good results with blog comments in getting better serps in other areas. I have not tried it on my keywords on my main business site yet.

How about adwords? has anyone had any sucess in regaining targeted traffic that way?

How about youtube? Is that still ranking? I have neglected youtube videos in my marketring, so for me it's wide open. Would it be smart for me to throw a lot of attention to youtube marketing to regain the lost traffic?

You may want to consider creating a Facebook fan page for your site. I read somewhere that G is beginning/has begun to place an emphasis a site's "social sphere". This may affect the ranking of a site in general.

I was thinking about adding more Facebook stuff but to be honest I haven't seen any conversions from my mediocre facebook efforts so far. Same for Twitter.

How about all these link packages I see for sale? Are any of them replacing the article traffic?

yes most people and even some in here, belive that writing 20 crappy articles a day and spammping the article directories, and spinning and them resubmitting them, is going to get them massive traffic to their site.

Silly twits. No this has never worked, and it is form of spamming.

I am glad google has penalized them.

Those who have been doing the right thing, and syndicating articles and not spamming have done well. Infact our traffic has increased since all those google slaps.

Black hat and grey hat stuff might work for a while, but after a time, you will realise that you were waisting your time. Those people are just trying to build money spinners. You need to build a business. But some people still just....DONT get it.

I'm not sure what a blog funnel is but I have about 25 blogs all dedicated to my keywords and linking back to my order pages.

One activity you might want to learn more about is Google's use of human site evaluators. These employees have been in use for years, however, their presence has become more public. As a result, we're becoming more aware of the influence they have on SERPS. So knowing what they look for and what happens once they find it (or don't find it) might help you understand what's required to regain the position you lost.
