Trying to setup with Commission Junction for the first time

So I am trying to setup with Commission Junction for the first time as an affiliate...and it is asking me for a website url, site name, etc...

Well, thing is... I had planned on doing some article marketing and promoting some health pills...but was going to just create a free wordpress blog to write the article. I thought I could create a generic account with CJ versus a site specific account.

I don't really want to sign up an existing url like my portfolio URL or my golf blog.

Do I need to buy a domain that represents the "types" of things I will use CJ for...or can I throw any of my domain names in there simply for registration reasons?

I just have never used CJ before...so I don't want to go down 1 path I can't back out of.

    The approval process is automatic so that you can sign up with any domain. However, you must not use a free e-mail address such as hotmail or YahooMail

    The only problem you may get later on is that certain merchants may look at your website details to decide whether to approve you or not.

    I really cannot see why you would not want to sign up with your golf blog as it would be advantageous if you promote physical products.

    Ok. Well, like I said I am thinking of selling health related stuff on here for the CJ commisions...so maybe I will be some cheap health related domain.

    So whatever URL I use doesn't have to have content on it during the signup?
