How To Correctly Create Amazon.com Text Links"

I have just signed up for the Amazon affiliate program. But when checking their links on my site and also using their link checker none of the links work. I used their FAQ section and it seems as though its not even updated as what they are referring to is not even on that specific page.

Basically im wanting to create text links and create a hyper link with my aff recorded in it, for example. I click on "Links & banner" and choose "Text Links Only" then highlight the html and link it to my keywords. But for obvious reasons its not working.

I know some of the more experienced people are laughing because im trying to use a html link for keywords in a blog, but thats all i have to work with. From what i can see they do not provide other solutions.

For example this is what im trying to do:

I recommend good quality SHOES If you want Shoes then CLICK HERE

Is anyone here experienced with amazon. Because it giving me grief now for 2 days.

Thanks in advance.

On the product page in Amazon, under 'Product details', look for
    ASIN:XXXXXXXXXX

It will have a number beginning with B e.g.
    ASIN:B000R9BMVU

    In your case:
    ASIN:B000UGLIXC

Copy that number, then make your link up as follows:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UGLIXC/[YourAffiliateID]

    Yep. just link this:

    httx://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UGLIXC?ie=UTF8&tag=fredogfoorec-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeA S IN=B000UGLIXC

(Note that I had to change the "p" to an x to prevent it from automatically grabbing Amazon's title and linking it)

My process for doing this is to select "text link only" and then I right click the text link they give me, and copy it.

Then, I just go to my page, and paste that link just as I would with any other link.

You need to add your affiliate ID to the end of the link.

You will find that at the top left hand corner of the Amazon page.

        Edit.
Sorry! your aff ID did not seem to be showing up in your post, but I can see now that it is in fact there.
